But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

I Think the 20 gB version is for me, i haven't really seen high definition anything on a HD tv, so i wouldn't know the advantage, and i'm hapy living in my ignorance with my SD 'Sharp' TV ^_^
yeah , ok, could some one tell me what exactly is singstar?
and did u notice that they didnt really answer question #11,...... at least IMO.

its a karaoke service. there will be onine karaoke contests and i believe he was talking about downloading new songs for it. much like in this way, you could buy new ddr levels or anything extra for games for a dollar here and there.

I mean they already said it could act as tivo too(online service). What's next...will it transform into a toster oven lol.I kinda believe this whole pc thing and it's very cheap for a pc with that type of hardware.I like that Q and A link.

yeah, it may not bee updateable with a beter processor and vid card, but they said that everything with a pc will work. in the q&a he even states if u want more usb ports go get a hub and it will work.
i wonder if that q&a was "leaked" on purpose.

The karaoke thing will be massive in asia. I went to Japan and Thailand last year and karaoke booths was everywhere. Ppl were spending money in karaoke bars and studios like they were feining to sing lol... Good idea for the asia part but i dont know if it will be sucessful in the US. American Idol is more than enough...
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

dont worry about it, it was just an exaggeration of what was in reeves interview. a chip is fast to mass produce, and ibm and sony have many factories under their wing. this does not bother me.

i find it hard to understand how all these sites that i have never heard of keep getting these 'hot stories' yet the more reliable gaming sites don't report these things?? lets see, if you click on ps3 and check out their other stories all this site seems to do is reword and post stories that were found on other sites. after seeing "the inquirer and kotaku" as sources for thier info. i find this site to be entertaining....anyway even if it were true i don't see how or why this would really upset someone.

well either way it is most likely that the ps3 will be in high demand and that most of the time it will be sold out, but a slow yield in cell chips does not help at all.

I don't think it's as big a deal as the fanboys and ms's partners would like us to think. The cell has been in developement for 5 years and isn't all that different in terms of manufactering than any other processor.
The facts....The yeilds always improve over time.Remember the chip shortage on ps2? Boy it seemed like a big deal then, but look what happened.Sony caught up quick and became the best selling console. This time it's said that they will have even more at launch than in 2000.
I showed this link before. Now think about it...

that is the way intel rolls, they almost never develope new and faster tech, the just add and add old tech on top of itself. look at the pentium 4, its nothing but a p1 with more ghz basically, ever wonder why its so slow?

that breakthru processor you are asking for might just be intels new conroe.

but sully have you heard of the conroe core 65nm from intell, its supposed to dominate all current amd's and with the overclock potential to rival anything out there, it will take the lead with easy.
Changed your mind anubis?

nope, its how they work. yes they are seeing their ways lately, but prior in conroe and yonah, they were using the same technowlagy for over 20-25 years go.

Not the way I see it. Earlier Pentiums did not have NetBurst architecture. This was new in the P4 and designed from the ground up.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_4
Quote: The Pentium 4 is a seventh-generation x86 architecture microprocessor produced by Intel and is their first all-new CPU design, called the NetBurst architecture, since the Pentium Pro of 1995. Unlike the Pentium II, Pentium III, and various Celerons, the architecture owed little to the Pentium Pro/P6 design, and was new from the ground up. The microarchitecture of Netburst featured a very deep instruction pipeline, with the intention of scaling to very high frequencies. It also introduced the SSE2 instruction set for faster SIMD integer, and 64-bit floating-point computation.

it was to introduce the new codings, and had to be done. the main thing im refering here is how they did shorten the pipes, a major reason as to why htey are so slow.
sorry, off-topic but:
you know, i just saw a complete sound system for 300 dollars, and the only input it had was an ipod dock..who the **** would bay that much for something that can only be used on an ipod?

Please explain further in detail - you lost me there. How does what you're saying prove your assertion that Intel is using the same technology since the original Pentium?

since 95 they had completely. what im saying here is they have changed their pipelines to be more efficient. they had too many of them untill a recent drop. im sating how intel does not like to advance much. all they are doing with this new processor is adding more cores. how unoriginal. can they make something new and more efficient for what it constains? such as the cell for example. we'll never really progress by adding more and more, but by developing new and more worthy ways. it like ms, windows xp is basically windows 3.1 with new code added every release, excluding 2000 and 2003 which were on-top compileations of nt.

agreed.I know what you mean.Amd created 64 bit processors then intel copied them.Ibm made multi-core and intel copied them.HT tech...you get the point.
