you'll be amazed. hl1 is fun but hl2 is the best. play in order tho. im playing thru hl2 on hard and im almost to the citadel.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

so apparently theres a new xbox 360 coming to town. yet another new sku for them. its called the "pro" version, and details are included here. http://www.t3.co.uk/news/247/games/xbox/new_xbox_360_bundle_incoming
i think its a money making scheme. the cost it takes to add all those parts vs the cost to the consumer will be alot. i see this being 450-500. unless the other get i price redux, then this might be 400. i hope not tho. they need a 500 dollar version.

I think M$ might be stretching themselves with all these revisions.
It takes me back to the 16 bit days when u had saga constantly revising and adding. Even conservative nintendo got caught up in the mix when they re did the snes and were working on the cd drive with phillips

yeah, they need to lighten up a bit. i was almost expecting this new model to have hdmi, i would have laughed if that report was really true.

I don't see anything wrong with it, really. Since the ps3 will be 100-300 dollars more expensive, Microsoft doesn't really have to do a price drop.
Instead, they'll just bundle a lot more things in the premium package.

It is a business, and that's what business' do. They make money.

The link said that it would come at no extra cost. I think 2 things happened here: 1, the 360 is being manufactured at a lower cost than last year at this time. In fact, so have the extra accessories too, so microsoft can put a lot more into a package and still not take a huge hit from their wallets.
and 2, as I said earlier, MS isn't really under pressure by Sony to lower their price.
Quote: they need a 500 dollar version.
uh..... what?!

Its nothing new. Alot of consoles has a later release with added accesories and a game. Its not like a new model or anything special.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

this is yet another cool bonus for adapting MS fans and a reason for some people to wait it out instead of getting the ps3. you get all that for $200 less than the ps3 thats sweet.think of it like this you can have pgr3,the points which could buy you 1-3 arcade games or any combination of themes/gamerpics, and get gears of war, too human, madden 07 all for a price cheaper than the ps3. and we all know games make the console not a slight graphic increase and to be able to have 3 killer games of your choice and 1 free one and still edn up with $30-60 in your pocket when all is said and done...and have this all before the ps3 owners even know if the hype if worth it you cant complain about that. Same goes for the wii you could get tons of accessories and tons of games and save over the ps3 and the 360,games are waht matters not Blu-ray, or a web browser. most of your time is playing GAMES,all the extras are cool but just a shortcut to peoples pockets.

I think it's a pretty normal thing for ms to do.We've seen this on every console in history so it shouldn't surprise anybody. At the same time I'm a bit disappointed had I known I would have waited another month and got my 360 then now I just feel stupid lol.
But hey it's good for all those who don't have one yet.

even if you get a bit more, its not worth it in the long run. ms is good for sucking you dry. i see too many schemes in all of their workings.

In a way your right. But arn't they all.
I spent $100 on a wifi adapter but I feel it should be like maybe $39.99 that seems resonable to me.They cost about $15 to manufacture then include packaging and overhead and I think you get to about $20 per.So at $39.99 they would still make double.I understand a companies reasons for making cash but don't hose us down.

i think the hdd should have been cheaper also like $40 or $50 at the most, i could have understood if it would have been bigger like 40gb or 60gb but for only 20gb it shouldnt be that much

their not sucking people dry just trying to make money. just as sony did with the ps2 buy not having a console that comes with four controller ports and chraged $40.00 for the multi-tap. its all about profit for them, now sony goes out and goes from having two previous consoles with 2 ports and the ps3 will have 7 ports. they are all out to get into our pockets, sucks to be us.Look at every console and they all have their little nitches to sneak money out of our pockets

yes, but ms is always a common perpatrator. they seem to do it with evereythinggggg. look at the os, office and all that, the 360's extra stuff, etc. they are all waaay overpriced for what you get out of them.

I know what your saying.I disaggree with the office comment though ms offers works which is a dubbed down version of office for free on most pc's.
As far as os's that's true and have you seen their new anti virus package man that should be free. Now ms has an incentive for viruses to be out there it's not good.
I think ms is a common perpetrator in the game market though trying to make it seem cheaper than ps3 but really after you pay for all the extra crap your at about the same price.

you dont agree with the office comment? issnt the latest office 350 dollars?
and yeah that sucks, they dont have to fill in the holes that macs did now because they are getting payed to be faulty. they taught the world viruses are normal.
yeah it usually does come to around the same price either way, and they you dont even get as much out of it.

Yo I gotta go Like I said to face I wanna get drunk and play halo on my pc(demonoid lol).
But what I'm saying is yes office is expensive but ms offers something that basically does the same thing for free on most pc's.
were aggreed though I mean let's face it every ms os since 98 is the same damn thing with only minor new features now they have media center edition that's just a shortcut to your my pictures,my movies,my music etc.Pretty lame.
Peace anubis I may be back later.

Hey it will be free so you can imagine it like 360's online service excepet a little better due to the built in web browser and other goodies.Gameplay with the built in wifi on the primo version will be tight.
As far as the infastructure I want to know more like anyone else.
