Yeah I saw that link I think hade posted it on another thread.It depends on who you poll you know?
I personally think ps3 will be more popular in general no matter where you go.The only reason people think otherwise is because they have doubts now but when it's released it'll be a different story.
I would love to see some of these polls in 3 years then we'll see who's thrashing ps3.

well basic online play was said to be free right? does that mean online play with restrictions?
like no friends list or all that extra chat fetures? i know downloads that would not usually be
free will not be, kutaragi said that everything a pc gets for free with internet the ps3 will. so i
trust that and if they came back out saying it would cost to play would shake their fanbase..
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

it seems good that production is up and doing good from one currently known manufacturer, if it indeed is true.
and that ps3 vs wii article is old, i remember it from a few days ago. but why dont we see american polls? or american opinions? i dont live in japan.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

I'm no expert, but there's little doubt in my mind that both ps3 and 360 would be more popular than the Wii.
I'm not sure.
I guess a big reason those japan polls always made their way into vg news is because it was so unexpected for the Wii to be having such great results. (aside from that amazon - japan poll, that is.)

I know for a fact that amd's are better for pc gaming.I think it would be great because amd's are cheaper and that may force intel to lower it's price in the home console market.There is one problem though isn't ati working with ms on xbox 360? I think ati and sony had problems and contract disputes.
intel made the 360 processor right?Ms would never take amd's side over intel because dell,gateway ,hp,etc all support intel so it's a survival thing for ms.

why would amd make a rpocessor for consoles? i know they are better than intels for gaming, but did you guys read how little general performance is used at one time from the 360, and light gp is used from the ps3. amd would have to design a new chip, and they are having anought problems keeping up in the pc processor world. the cell trashes anything amd could do right now, like allowing the rsx to use the xdr if needed. and the cell could do many of the gpu tasks, meaning when that people start learning how to do this, the ps3 is is destined to run graphically better.

Good point.I was just speaking thoeretically if they were to buy ati and step into the console market.But amd could smash sony and ibm's joint adventure if they wanted to.Amd came up with dual core and 64bit cpu's for the pc home market first.Intel has never been caught up with amd and never will.Intel has the market but amd has always been a step ahead.
Amd is a better company.Intel's suck they just add 200mhz to every release and call it the latest and greatest.Like 3.0 ghz to 3.2 ghz wow so what.That's why sony didn't want to use them and teamed up with ibm to make a newer fresher cpu that does new things.Instead of the same old bs that intel makes.

In case you want to cry fanboy I'm running an A64 X2 4200+ right now and loving it.
Coincidentally the next step up from my 4200+ is the 4600+ and guess what the only difference is? It's 200MHz faster, that's the only difference. The next step below my 4200+ is the 3800+ and the only difference is - you guessed it, it's 200MHz slower. Look at the entire X2 line and you'll see two flavors - 512kL2 and 1MBL2 and the only difference up and down each line is 200MHz.

acually, amd has yet to have 65 nm processors. plus, intel is releasing 45nm processors by 2009. intels conroe will overclock like a god when it stops being delayed due to its struction and process size. and intels yonah is the lowest voltasge processor out, great for laptops. i believe its amd falling behind now. these two companies battle in a wave, one being better a few years, then the other.

My point exactly.It's a physics engine so how would it be hardware based unless you were talking about the new ageia physics cards?
And even that doesn't require the hardware.For instance I have graw on the pc that makes me install the ageia physics engine whether I have a card or not in order for the game to run properly.
