Isn't the point of bringing soemthign to the bg screen is to keep its characters and fiction intact not recreate it into modern BS?
I don't like Xmen but tis better than most other Comic movies,Spider man is almsot prefect but I still like Hellboy more,Hulk's stoy the whole rage issues with daddy is....painfull if they left that out and did ANYTHING ELSE it would have been ok
Batman 1-2 are also pretty damn good,3-4 bad,Batman begainings is so so,
Blade is shallow posh and trendy BS it uses pretty petty hollywood vampires not what the fiction calls for.....
Hell as bad as Queen of the damned is it has better vampires,Underworld so far has the best "modern" vampires.
Comic movies I did like or could stand
Punisher (a bit light but over all ok)
Xmen 1(so so)
Batman 1-2 (Great)
Hellboy(great)
Batman beginings (so so)
the changes hollywood dose 80% of the time are unneeded,unwanted and unnessasery,because the mindless herd that watches movies twice dosent care what is in it >>
ok since we are goign off topic,want to make a new thread and bitch about movies and dumb or jaded(me) movie goers :P

as the old saying goes theres no accounting for taste,I found the villain to be so so,the bat mobile to be a level up from the glowing ribbed condom from 3 or 4,but it looks more like a ribbited metal brick hardly a bat mobile,over all its better than 3 and 4,but 1-2 can't be beat.... yet.

that would be 4,3 was with the Tommy lee jones Two face character,
I wish they would screw star power and just go by the character....rarely dose star power bring anything worth while to the character.

I feel you on that my friend said the same thing but if they did do it like that the movie would take forever & production cost would be out the roof.

Actually no,lets look at Fantasitic Four for instance, its just a few character and story adjustments to make it damn near perfect,Have DOOM posing as a businessmen gathering power for himself,his ownership of a small country dose not have to be brought in,just him gathering money and power,he completes his suit/powers a bit after the Cosmic Energy insadent the others hit in space,to me this would have made the movie better.
its mostly small story and character changes that damage a film to death.
I can stand Xmen 1 its more or less ok,X2 blows to the point where brain hurts,not seen X3 yet...I don't think I could stand it.
they water down and belittle characters to death I just cant take much of it.

there hasn't been too much info on killzone. i think this is the latest taken from an interview...

i don't know much about the storyline but i do know the game is gonna be base on flying a dragon and that can be fun but only for person with a gold fish memory. its gonna get boring after a while of playing it. lair is gonna be like Mobile Suit Gundam, a hugh disappointment. mobile suit gundam is the worst game on the ps3 right now.

I really feel options are needed now more than ever in gameplay,I can see ok games being killed dead by over the top poorly thought use of the sixaxis,look at current gameplay schemes that leave a gap in players I am a ok console fps player however I need full button mapping to put buttons where I need them and or Analog stick swapping,crippling a game to where only a f can play it good is nuts.....the more shallow games get the more and more gameplay suffers....

1 is good,2 is so so,in all Batman 1 is a bit better,at least it brought new stuff to the adaptation/movie that did not hurt.

i never said ID programmers were lazy, but programmers in general are lazy ;)
as i said before, he is basically complaining about tools and support that for him don't add up to the competitor, or atleast not to his liking. raven's port quake 4 for the 360 wasn't anything spectacular, so it really doesn't seem like this is terrible news. i really don't think being a ps3 owner im missing out on anything. GearsOfWar, now that would be a different story....i don't think this is the first time we've heard anything like this before from a developer?s standpoint. sony is pretty notorious for delivering sub par tools and support. the guy might just not like the idea of having to relearn or reinvest how to do things they have already perfected, but then again they are computer scientists and engineers, not monkeys. sony took a different approach with the ps3's architecture and im sure with a little effort they?d be successful.

Look at Q4 its not that great to began with the whole game screams medicoreness,add activtion rushing the port and not letting them make it run at full fps all the time....*shudders* all in all its up to the coders to work out the issues each game has for each system its ported to and they are then pushed by publishers its lose lsoe all around most of the time...

Well, speaking as a software engineer, it's usually not about coders (or anyone) being "lazy". Programmers have bosses, who have bosses, who have bosses, and these people impose time constraints, because while the game or software or whatever is being developed, the company is steadily losing money paying all of these people. Having better tools and support can mean the difference in a problem taking a day to solve instead of a week to solve, and the faster they can solve problems and move along, the more they can pack into a game and make it less buggy.
I know you guys get blamed for everything,but I wish you would focus more on gameplay but in the end its the publisher that helps and hurts your ability to work on a game.

Good the more tools they have the more they can handle busy work and clear time up for details game have been lacking but know the corporate mentality any extra time will be wasted on finishing not polishing so devs can move on to the next project...
