Does any one know if Devil May Cry 1 works?
Always live in the now... you never know when you won''t wake up. I own swap magic version 3.6 and use dvd decrypter and alcohol 120%.

Devil May Cry 1 has an oversized TOC (4.37 GB), but I hear it still works fine without patching or rebuilding (or TOC swapping) with the Swap Magic 3.3 DVD. I have the original of DMC myself, but since I am out of DVDRs, I can't really test it =/ This means I'm out of both CDs *and* DVDs, heh. I'll let you know once I get a new stock.

Hi, today I wanted to backup champions return to arms .
When I used swap magic I was kicked to the screen where the memory card is.I heard sth about DVDLoader ,so I downloaded it,burned it on a >>CD-R<< .But when I tried to boot CHAMPIONS RETURN TO ARMS with it there was a screen with a red galaxy and it told me that itīs not a valid PS2 disc...I know that the Problem is not the game cuz I couldnīt even boot other backups that worked with swap magic...
could somebody tell me how to use DVD loader??
PLEASE!!!

I guess you could, theoretically, Jlhfit. I have seen bootleg CDs with multiple PSOne games on them, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible create a DVD that does the same thing. I'm not sure what you would boot it with, though, since the Swap Magic set doesn't boot PSOne games, and the Breaker Pro only has a TOC of a CD.
You need to burn the DVDLoader to DVD. CDLoaders go on CD, DVDLoaders go on DVDs. It should work after you burn it on the proper media.
Added some more CD games and revised the non-working list, since I got Mr. Mosquito and Timesplitters to work (got a new batch of CDRs).

There is no need to repeat your post, _ICh_. I already said you need to burn the DVDLoader to DVD. It will not work if you burn it to CD-R. Then select the 5v3 No PN Option (press X once the DVDloader boots up to go to the options screen) and swap in Return to Arms.

Ok thx ,two question at least...
1:What will not work if I burn it on a CD-R?(Do you mean the boot-process or that the whole CD will not start?)
2:Could I also use CdLoader to boot Champions return to arms?(Cuz I tried it too and I donīt know if itīs cuz I made it wrong or cuz I REALY NEED DVDLoader)
Plz help me...(and sry for replying 2times I wasnīt enable to see your message till I replyed for 2nd time cuz my IE donīt update this page for a reason I donīt know)

I downloaded DVDLoader and I wanted to know the size of the Datas(How big is the zip\rar,the .iso,and the extracted .iso)
Does it matter that I donīt have Swap Magic 2.0???(I have 3.3)
I heard sth about a method without using DVDLoader but it donīt work(Perhaps Iīm an idiot...)

Every game has routines called media checks (usually in the SLUS file, along with the IRX and IOPRP***.IMG files) which tell the console what format of media it's playing from (CD or DVD). If the routines don't match the actual media being used, then the game (or loader, as it were) won't load. This is why you need to patch those files when you're ripping from DVD to CD (or vice versa). To make a long story short, the DVDLoader has a couple of media checks in the SCE_DD folder which I believe are preventing it from loading up if you burn it to CD.
Anyway, this is the step-by-step guide to booting Return to Arms:
1. Boot up your Swap Magic 3.3 DVD.
2. Put in your DVDLoader v7 All and press x.
3. Press x to access the options and select 5v3 No PN and press x again.
4. Press triangle to stop the DVDLoader from spinning.
5. Put in your Swap Magic 3.3 DVD again. Press triangle to spin it up. Press x.
6. At the next screen, put in your Return to Arms disc. Press x to load it up, and you're done.
Don't use your Swap Magic CD, use your DVD. Don't boot with square, boot regularly. And don't refresh your TOC, it is largely irrelevant with the SM 3.3 set. If Return to Arms still doesn't work (or if it freezes), then you have burned your backup incorrectly.
For the record, the DVDLoader v7 All is only 503 KB compressed, but about 526 MB when extracted.

CDLoader must be burned to a CD
DVDLoader must be burned to a DVD
You can use both to load DVD games that need CD/DVDLoader to work so depending on which Loader you have downloaded.
If you have DVDLoader burn it to a DVD and follow instructions below.
1. Boot up your Swap Magic 3.3 DVD.
2. Use Swap Method to swap your DVDLoader v7 All and press x.
3. Press x to access the options and select 5v3 No PN and press x again.
4. Press triangle to eject the tray.
5. Put in your Swap Magic 3.3 DVD again. Press triangle to close the tray. Press x.
6. At the next screen, use swap method to swap your Return to Arms disc. Press x to load it up, and you're done.
If you have CDLoader burn it to a CD and follow instructions below.
1. Boot up your Swap Magic 3.3 CD.
2. Use Swap Method to swap your CDLoader v7 All and press x.

The last time Iīm preesing x I have to be in the SWAP MAGIC program,havnīt I?Cuz If I swap when Iīm in the CDLOADER Screen the Disk continue rotating and so I canīt Swap (Ok I can but the PS2 makes FUCKING NOIZES then.

OK, I tried this too but there was "Introduce DVD-R por methodo EA" written and the PS2 didnīt stop to try to read the disc .

sry my mistake I put a DVD-RW Disc(GTA Vice Vity,I burned it when I didnīt know that the PS2 canīt read DVD_RW) into the PS2 instead of my return to arms DVD-R.Now it works (Ok,I didnīt look at the PS2 till the "PRESS START"Screen was but I think it will work)
Now I know how to do it!!!It works with all games(without GT4 and some others I donīt know),doesenīt it???

ALL THE FIXES ON THESE PAGE ARE FOR SWAPMAGIC 3.3, would they also work for SWAPMAGIC 3.6? I am getting my 3.6 on Monday.

so when i use the swapmagic 3.6, does that mean that i do not need to worry about patching the games (unless they are dvd 9); also, does swapmagic 3.6 work better with worse media than swapmagic 3.3? these might be dumb questions, but i have not been using this for long. made my first backup yesterday (need for speed underground 2), and it works well.

Armored core nexus works with swap magic 3.3 perfectly, provided you replace the dummy files. Guilty Gear X (cd) does not work with swap magic 3.3.

Enthusia Professional Racing (Pal) working perfectly!
Moto GP 4 (Pal) working too, both burned with DVD-Decrypter on "Premium" DVD-R at 4X speed. And I'm using Swap Disc 3.6 (DVD-boot)
