It might be bend but there is absolutely not front picture of it and it looks exactly "bend" in the same angle as the pictures
EDIT: I bend it a little and now it works (with the pression) on the normal angle. I'll try with black-electrical tape to stick it after school
EDIT 2: I tapped it like hell and now it stands in place! It does not work with the cover close tought lol but when i open it, it restart!

I ordered my magic key v2 2 days ago and I cant install tool 1 or tool 3. I have a v14 satin silver. I put tool 1 in the slot and it keeps coming back out. I took out the sticky label straight away but wasn't doing it properly until I realised how it goes into the slot so has it got to do with the fact that it wasn't very sticky anymore (by the time I worked out how to place it in) thats why it keeps coming out? And with tool 3 the disk starts spinning if I move the disk tray right down almost at the point of closing but when I have my tray completely open the disk stays still and doesn't move. Help would be greatly appreciated especially when I have all my games prepared eg FIFA 07 which I realy wanna play.

Farman56 ..I can't tell you much more than I have posted in this thread or have on my site about it. Just take a look at all the manuals and read and then sit down and try again......about the best advice I can give you.
Like I say once I got part#3 started in the hole... I then wiggled it around until it fell in place. I could then easily close lid and everything.

Cool, I still have my V7 with slide tool also but yes prefer the slimline. Much quicker to play with.
Anyway Part#1 is probably cause its not so sticky then anymore, do you have double sided tape. Just cut off a little square of it and use that.
if you check the magic keys 2.pdf manual on page 5 shows a clear picture of it.
That should work for you.

Cheers coz I was thinking about ordering the magic key again just for tool a but now I realise I can just use double sided tape. But I was wondering with tool 3 it doesn't go directly inside the hole between the hinge and the metal bar so I put the leg of the tool first to the left side of the hole and then move right again to put it in the middle and then push down. This hasn't worked so are just supposed to force it through the midle directly?

For part#3 yeah that way I did it may not work for everyone. I first got the little end started by holding it with tweezers and directing it into the hole. Then from there it may take wiggling to get it to go in place. But once mine found the right spot it sort of just dropped in and then I pressed it down further to make it stick there.

Right I have sticky taped tool 1 and its staying on so thats good. I just spent about an hour tryin to fix tool 3 in. I carried a torch with my left hand and fiddled around with the tool with my right hand but still no frickin luck. I have done everythin with tool 3 I keep sticking it through the left side of the hole and back in the middle but still doesn't work. Im becomin freakin frustrated coz i see no other alernative of fitting this tool in. Magik key is an f***** rip off coz they said EASY INSTALLATION, WITHIN MINUTES PLAY YOUR BACKUPS. On another site they said INSTALL ALL THE PARTS IN 20 SECONDS more like 20 f***** years. I was thinkin smokie maybe wen u done it was pot luck but d u think u can keep installin tool 3 in the rightp lace or u think u just did it by luck? Also d u hav a silver or a black slimline?

Hi........ I think I could do it again yes. But it may be luck that its on the right spot. But I followed it pretty much like on this page here.
http://www.mod-chip.com/en/magic_key2_manual.htm
I checked the video although it is very fast. I had to pause it. I researched it quite well before I attempted it my second time. As I said the first time looking at it I had a heck of a time too. Then I left it for awhile and came back later to it.
I have a Black Slim V14.
I checked all the pictures in this manual on part#3.
www.mod-chip.com/Lite/Magic_Key_2_PS2_Install_Lite.pdf
These all helped me.

Right, I have bought some tweezers so what part of tool 3 shall i hold firstwith the tweezers. Shall i hold the square part, the leg of the square or the leg of the leg?

Boy you are just getting right to it. Well thats alright then.
I believe I held the square part with it..that way with a light right on the hole I could see what I was doing. But the leg of the square may work just fine too. It is awkward I know and hard to see because of the flip top lid.
Good luck!!

Just posting an update.
After I found my part 3 was bent-ish, and wouldn't work, I e-mailed Mod-Chip.com's support and discussed it. After a bit of replying, they offered to send me a replacement for part 3.
Well, it arrived in the mail today and my faith in mod-chip.com has been restored. They shipped two part 3s, and I fiddled around with it for a little before I got it to work. After that, though, everything fit like a dream.
I still have to put a little (just a little) pressure on it for it to close, but the lid goes down all the way and it still reads discs with the lid completely open.
I musta spent 6 hours trying to get it to work the first time, and I know it's hard. I advise you fiddle around with it (WITH THE TAPE ON, my old one became a dud because I took the tape off)for a while to get a feel for how everything works. Tweezers do help, especially to hold the part when you finally do take the tape off the bottom, and a really bright light source is neccessary.
After a couple hours or so of fiddling with it, put the whole thing away and don't try to install it for a day or two. In fact, the longer you let part 3 be, the better. I didn't get the replacement part for over 2 weeks, and that really helped diffuse my frustration. After that, though, going back to it will feel familiar and you can install it in a half hour or so.

You don't need to buy it again, just use double sided tape and it'll work perfectly fine.

My piece number 3 was faulty. The sticky part wouldnt stick to it so it just came off. It was also extremely hard to find where abouts it had to be placed. I eventually got it exactly right....using a torn up bus ticket underneath to give it some height and some normal sticky tape to keep it down. Obviously the lid wont close now but that doesnt bother me as the swap disc stuff all works fine.
Heres a nice picture of it...

I have asked the shop where I bought it for a replacement. If that comes then it means I can fit one nice and cleanly :D

Sincem y original post, the third piece came off (the replacement). Opening and closing the lid ended up dislodging it a few days after I had it set.
HOWEVER, I folded double sided tape on itself to get a piece 3 layers high, and placed that under it. Its been set without trouble for over a week or so now, and the lid actually closes more easily than it did before.

Hi smokeyrain I managed to finally get the magic keys to work. I got brand new magic keys and with tool 3 I just pushed down on the slot and it made a slight click noise then I took off the sticker and it is placed. I swear I made the same attemps in pushing it down before and the disk owuldnt spin but this time the disk spun altho i done the exact same thing. O WELL!
