I like to use DVD Decrypter to rip because every time i've tried IMGburn, it never worked but when I used DVD Decrypter it worked every time. That is, until Rush Hour 3. To do this one I downloaded DVDFAB HD Decrypter(the free one) and it worked. no problems with it. Then I tried to rip War and it worked. The only problem was when I tried to use it on dvd shrink. It let me do the shrinking, taking out this and that so it would fit on one single-layer disc but when I tried to back it up it made the buffer go up to use all of my memory(1GB) and then some and then dvd shrink throws up an error that there is not enough memory to complete request. Underdog also does the same thing. What the heck is going on????? Anyone have any ideas?????

that would be expected since imgburn is a burning engine ONLY ,NO built in ripper lol

its the heavy copy protection thats causing dvd shrink to hang .SO what you want to do is rip with dvdfab decrypter THEN use either FixVTS or VOB Blanker to clean the file so dvd shrink can transcode it without problems ,then burn

Ok, I'm new here so I guess I started a new thread instead of replying to this one! Please forgive me for that, but in case you didn't read the other thread, I did this movie with no problem at all! I ripped it to my hard drive as an ISO file, using DVD Clone 2, with Any DVD running in the background. I then burned it with DVD Decrypter and it did the whole movie, with subtitles and both versions, full screen and wide, and it came out flawless! Good luck!

DVDfab V 4.0.1.2. Did it just fine for me... Maybe because I backed up "Movie Only" and picked the first 16:9 choice? I haven't tried to copy the entire disc though.
If this thread wasn't here i'd never have known their was a problem with Rush Hour 3. Good job to the dvdfab people for sure!

Just wanted to say I love this site, keep up the good work!!! Quick and Simple way for me, DVDFab HD 4 (Save to HD) - Nero 7 (Recode to Disk), not a problem at all!!! For all of you who still use RipIt4me - toss it, because without being able to get updates for RipIt4Me, program is pretty much useless for the encryption that will be used on future releases!

Oops, forgot to mention that DVDFab HD 4 works for the entire disk and not just the main movie.

The latest updates of AnyDVD and Clone DVD worked just fine for me on this. Total time of about 35 minutes from start to finish.

I have Windows Vista home edition.I'm not sure on what kind of DVD/CD rom I have but I looked it up: HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-H30L ATA Device. I don't know what that means though. Well, when I load the movie in the DVD rom with DVDFab Decryptor it imediately has a crash report and the same with DVDFab HD Decryptor 4 but instead I see it start to loading but before it finishes with the quality check it has a crash report. And for the most part I have checked the rest of the thread. I haven't checked the last page of it. I don't know where to get ANYDVD or any of the other stuff mentioned. What program do you suggest? Where do you get these programs from anyway? Without having to dish out money?

orco99 Just type anydvd download in to google it will lead you to slysoft. They offer a 21 day free trial of their software which is the one that I currently have.
I am pretty new to all this and I had no problem using the software. I had to burn the DVD to the HDD then I just ran it through Shrink and IMG. I tried to use CloneDVD2 but I was not using it correctly and I was trying to use a DVD-R when my computer could only read DVD+R (specially I know). From my bried exposure to ANYDVD it looks like it might be worth the 30 something it cost.

Sounds like a bum disc and an exchange is in order.
