Hey guys i'm having a problem burning this, i followed alkohol's guide except i didn't use VOB blanker because i really don't care if it has previews or not, and i did the whole DVD instead of the main movie. I don't think those factors should affect it, but for some reason, i'm only burning the VOB files. Like..i'm creating a Data DVD for some reason or something, i can't play it on my computer/dvd player, but when i open the DVD on my computer i see all the VOB files sitting there. So it's like i basically copied the files from my Harddrive to the DVD.
Now i realize i'm probably missing something big here, but what'd i do wrong? I used DVDFAB Plat. 4 to take it off Rush Hour 3, that went well. I then used FixVTS and no errors there. Then, i used DVD shrink and put it in ISO format. As a lil side test i used Daemon tools, and mounted the ISO onto the image drive. At the point it wouldn't play as a DVD, but it had the VOB files in it. I wanted to give burning it on a DVD a try anyways, but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i'm doing wrong?

I've tried using anydvd and clonedvd2 and both didn't work for me. Clonedvd2 won't work cause it's copy protected and I had the same messege ZoSoIV posted on the first page with anydvd. I don't know what to use without dishing out money to buy some program and I wouldn't know which to use anyway even if I were willing to dish out money to buy it.

ORCO99 I used ANYDVD to backup the whole DVD on my HDD. Just right click on the icon on the bar next to the time. It will give you an option to copy the DVD into the HDD. After that completes you can use whatever you are used to using. This is the only way that I was able to back up the movie. I ran a test an copied the complete movie on a DVD and it worked fine. Know I just have to back up the movie as I lost alot of quality compressing both movies on the same DVD.
Hope this helps!

i used vulcans instruction and worked!
For my first post, I would like to say that I was able to make a backup of Rush Hour 3.
1. First I ripped it to my HD using AnyDVD.
2. I then processed it with FixVTS.
3. Then I used MenuShrink.
4. Next I encoded and shrunk to a ISO file using DVD Shrink.
5. Finally, I use Imgburn to burn it to a DVD+r disk.
i didnt really know how to use menushrink, im still new as well, i just clicked the first file and hit process for that step and it came out fine, the menu is a little weird but it works.....

I got rush hour 3 to work with dvdfab with no problems. Then I tried to rip War with the same program and it worked. The only problem was when I tried to use it on dvd shrink. It let me do the shrinking, taking out this and that so it would fit on one single-layer disc but when I tried to back it up it made the buffer go up to use all of my memory(1GB) and then some and then dvd shrink throws up an error that there is not enough memory to complete request. Underdog also does the same thing. What the heck is going on????? Anyone have any ideas?????

I'm gonna take you up on that offer bear. I tried to rip War with the DVDFAB HD and it worked. The only problem was when I tried to use it on dvd shrink. after you use dvdfab decrypter run the file though fixvts or VOB Blanker to clean the file so dvd shrink can transcode it with no problems then burn
thats why i use the pay programs like clonedvd 2 + anydvd I'm done with it in about 12mins flat. thats the difference between freeware and pay programs

DVDFab platinum and gold will do the trick for you. they are 30 day free trials that work 100%. you can use there burning emgine or nero 6 to burn it. you will have to encode it using dvd shrink, if you use nero.

freeware burning software and box systems = a pain in the ass
pay programs and a custom built machine = no problems what so ever

I have used fixvts. it does the same thing. I did notice that it only does this if I try to reauthor it in dvd shrink. just using backup on the full thing without reauthoring works fine but I am all out of dual layer discs.
