ok upload youras than , im been trying to download the file oi have and its taking ages cause of the seeder, so i cant do antyhign :( im getting peeved :X, it sthe full DVD9 and i was going to use your method but its just taking ages to download...
i have qesutions for you svstang
1. i heard that your method freezez ehen you go in the bar on the airship.so can you see if its true or not
2. i havea save from chapter 5 so do i continue with the fake disc or can i start the game with your disk from my chapter 5 save, cause boobo man said he played he game from chp 1,?
3. did booboman use your method or did he make another method?

Mega i have use the dvdrip method from svtstang, And i can going everywhere, each planet, each zone, each mob, each technic, each music, i really dont have problem, i can going in airplane too without freeze.
My game only freeze at end chapter7, after fight seed, i freeze in airplane without reason.
I think we can play with svstang dvdrip chapter 1 till chapter 10 without trouble, if it work well, or if you rip it well lol =)
I can said after chapter 10 if it work well, because nobody talk about it ^^v

i was having trouble with cddvd gen because i didnt know you could drag and drop but after i did everything else you said, it freezes at the bar after the cutscene. me and Sorata have the same problem and same questions.. my dummys are 2kb so their not the same as the ones you showed in the picture and even if i put them in the right order with cddvd gen they still scramble later...

the filesize of the dummy file shouldnt make a difference. I have ZERO idea what the dilly is....if anybody wants to waste another dvd try dummying DATA0_1 and DATA1_1 and leave DATA0_0 and DATA1_0 alone...i will try it when i can see straight! Im going to rent a REAL copy of the game tomorrow and see if there are any difference...trust me im just as confused as you guys at this point!
BTW if everybody would just say it doesnt work this would be a hella lot less stressful! LOL

LOL funny at the same time!
Here is for all the people that said it froze, this is a one disk rip, 4.30 gigs....AND WILL WORK FOR SURE
If you just dummy DATA0_1 and DATA1_1, the GAME WILL PLAY FOR sure. The iso will be 4.30 gigs, but like Hursty's rip, the voiceovers and music are buhbye...grunts and moans are still there, thats all though.
Good work Hursty, this game is a b!tch!

does the 1 disk rip play fully?,i cant believe it does,the dat file that has been dummied is needed for sure
you know there is a add-on game?something about a battle mode?
maybe its that?
its a shame there are not enough .mvi files to dummy on disk 2,then there would be enough room for the voice overs
its possible for voive overs on disk 1,but not disk 2

LOL i just edited my post on the other thread....i started chapter 8, tried to teleport to Rosa.....and the little POS hung....awesome job Hursty, im taking a break from this game for A LONG TIME! Ill let you handle this, you know the intricacies of ripping far better then i do.

i dont even know how this game works tbh,or how to play it
i just loaded up disk 2,think its chapter 8,there are no movie intro's
you start at the bottom of small stair case,on top of a teleporter,with a robot & female buddie
i click this teleporter,and have a few options on where to go
are we talking about the same thing?,and in the same place?
if so,whats the exact name of the place where you transported to and it froze
there is one called the rosaprison or something?

one sec, let me find the name..and yeah, you are in an airship on the deck, standing on the save point. Hit X, then a vid happens (no music or voices.) Then go to teleport-rosa ancient ruins-midpoint....the game does sh!t....you can still manipulate the camera but nothing happens.
This is ripping DATA0_1 and DATA1_1...nothing more. Iso size is 4.3 gigs.

svtstang, previously in the method you posted, you dummied data1_0 and data1_1 and boobooman managed to get to chapter 10 with no problem.
But in hursty's disc 2 he dummied data0_1 and data1_1. so maybe data0_1 is needed and not data1_0?

I concur with svtstang's observations.
I built hursty's disc 2 with 0_1 and 1_1, movies in folders 1,2,4 dummied, using cd/dvd gen 2.0, iml2isov4
The .iso I used was the Rogue Galaxy(DVD9) release, which has exactly the same size as start2's
I also had to recreate folders 03, 08 in the MOVIES folder as they are blank and apache3 does not create them when you extract all files.
What I observed is background music and voices are gone. Also you cannot teleport using ANY teleporter. You can hump it to the place on foot. But the game hangs whenever you try to teleport using a teleporter. I could go back to the main menu using start->square though
However with hursty's method, I managed to get past where everyone is saying hangs the game. The part where you hit the bar in the Dorgenark and the cutscene when you hit the teleporter after that. I got past the cutscene already.
There were some points where the game appears to hang but I pressed start->triangle to skip and the game progressed normally.
I then built one with 1_0 and 1_1 dummied, ie svtstang's method. The game hangs after the Seed Battle but allows you to use teleporters.
I can only conclude that Hursty's disc 2 allows you to progress the game after Seed's battle. BUT DOES NOT allow you to use ANY teleporter as the data required to do teleportation is in DATA0_1.
And that the game hangs in svtstang's method as the data in DATA1_0 is needed to progress the story.
I think we need someone with the expertise to remove redundant files in the .DAT files or extract the teleportation files in DATA0_1 and make it small enought to fit into the remaining space in hursty's method to get a fully workable DVD5.

My last method method was to dummy 0_1 and 1_1, which will not hang after the seed battle. It is a one dvd rip, 4.3 gigs. Problem is, like Hursty's rip, cant use teleporters and music goes buh bye. So if you dont need to go to past places, the this will work fine.

you can go back, just that you need to WALK. which in some cases can be a long one.

if you got a working DVD9 of the game, there's no reason why the saves can't work

xkakashiX can you pelase if you have time list the problem with svstangs rip and tell me how big the rips iso should be....also i have downloaded the rg iso but the iso's size is 6,967,721,984 is that the sized it should be.?

OHHHHHHHHH!!! I KEEP REBUILDING THE GAME SVSTANG IT KEEP COMING OUT AS 4.07gb I CAN GET IT TO 4.30gB :x I DID WHAT YOU SAID, (sorry was yelling in capslock i just had it on sry)
im going to use svstangs method but im going to instead dummy the 900mb files instead of th 1.26 gb file and the 900mb file whihc are both on layer 1 which you need if you want to go ahead past chpt 7 without completications cause obviosuly their on layer 1, beacause think about this, if the game relasesd only had the first layer (layer 0) and everything went smoothly than why are you taking out the files that are on layer 1 which go beyond the chpt 7, i mean your going to find complications through out the game, so that is one poreblem,
my rip is a copy of svstang but im taking out the 2nd smallest files, cause the bigger ones might hold something greater, but anywayz id loke it if we had a copy of the jap game and has a look inside so we can structure the usa game to look like the jap game ^^ sony has to make it this complicated dont they, arhg!!! LOL no one is tlaking on this forum for a while :(, anywayz i hope i go well...
oh and svstang when i extract the files from the orginal iso using apahce the estracted files trun out to be 6.21gb,,, any help their, anywayz the game is dodgy X(

Hey svtstang, Upload your iso on Mininova. It would be great for everyone if you did because we would all have a working iso.
