A while back my ps2 quit playing the ps2 rom games(just makes a loud ugly noise on ps2 roms). I was'nt too concerned because most of my games are the dvd roms as are most of the new games and my ps2 will still play those. I bought a flip top and have sucsessfully backed up Midnight Club II and NBA Jam 2004 on dvd-r's. I want to backup Soul Calibur II but understand that I need the CD loader. I tried CD loader but it won't work because my ps2 will not play CD roms. I was wondering if it would work if I burned CD loader onto a dvd-r? Sorry so long winded, kind of a complicated problem.

looks like u got the same problem as me. u might have a v9 and it won't read the cd

No I've got like version 5 or 6. It won't read the cd because my ps2 quit playing cd roms. Thanks though.

Are lasers expensive? Easy to install? I'm thinking of just buying a second PS2 from a pawn shop. I'vee seen them for like 60 bucks.

Hanedrick or Anybody got a question!. Do I need to use ISOBUSTER to bust the iso file after Using DVD Decrypter, and then put the busted iso files in the DVD+R when I back up a DVD PS2 game?

Search first. You cant play your backups online because of DNAS which is something sony is using and making all online games have now. No crack has been created yet and most likely wont be for awhile because they could just patch the server side. SEARCH NEXT TIME

Hi,has anyone ever gotten a fliptop cover shipped to them and opened it and it was broke.I did.i got mine in the mail today and opened it up and the one of the pins on the side of the cover are missing and broke off.If so what did you do about it?

on ps2cover.com they say with swap magic 2 you can play dvdrips with the TOC refresh feature*. At the asterisk it says TOC Disc required for use of this feature (optional)
what does that mean and where can i find a TOC disc?

well in that case u can olny burn ps2 cd quality games... thats line under 700mb but u need a dvd burner to copy it i think..

The pin probably got broken with all this Christmas rush, and the postmen bouncing the packages around in a hurry.
Just found out that the USA 3.0 CD/2.0DVD (The DVD 2.0 will play V9 and most games are on DVD anyways) is going to come out but it will not play V9 PlayStation yet.
Just found out on the e-mail list that the PAL 3.0CD/2.0DVD is out and will be in by the end of the week or next Monday at http://www.fliptopcover.com (Shortcut to the Playstation page at http://www.saveware.com).
If you don?t have a DVD writer you have to do ripping with DVD Descriptor then shrink it down with DVD2One then burn it to CDR on one or more discs. Most people put them on lager then 650 meg. discs but then they only work with a mod chip and not the Swap Magic 2.0, but the 3.0 is supposed to do larger then 650 Megs.
