i don't diss it because its unpopular, i dis it for SOny trying to look for trouble. Ok: offical DVD forum backs up HD DVD so just go with it, dont go off and start your own little party to make a buck. It will end in... hhehe
and espcailly dont drag a respectable franchise into it like th Playstation!

Ok i am one of the few unbiased people it seems so dont start a war with me....to prove this i own a gamecube, DS, psp, PS 1 and 2, xbox, and now 360
I just got my 360 back from a friend and it has been flashed with Xtreme Firmware. I must say the power of the 360 is undeniable. I have played both the PS3 and the Wii at friends house, and at this point in time....i honestly feel the 360 is the supreme console. I know you Sony fanboys will bitch at me for saying that, but its my opinion.
The PS3 is awesome spec wise, but the fact that the games just stink and that it is a marketing tool to get BluRay into households does not float my boat. Add to this the extreme price point and multitude of problems with the console, ill pass for now.
The Wii is as original as it gets. Although its geared for a younger audience, it has an appeal that you cannot deny. Playing Zelda with the Wiimote or whatever its called is a blast, and i see bright things in the future for the Wii.
The 360 is the most established console obviously, and with a respectable library of games and the fact that even the crappiest game looks gorgous on a decent tv gets points with me. As soon as more quality RPG's are released i think M$ will be a force to be reckoned with.
Again dont get all pissy because of my opinions, i gurantee i will win any flame war ;)

Resistance is just as good as all the other AAA titles on other consoles. With that said, the PS3 games don't suck. They just only have one amazing game right now.

No one should rip you for your opinion that why there are no flames in this tread.I agree with you i own a PS3 & 360 right now if you asked me i would say that 360 is better game wise but system wise i say no.Game wise that got to do with a year lead but what i get in my PS3 compared to my 360 i would say the the PS3 will have a longer and stronger life span.But anyone who say 360 is junk is a fool.Proof of that is Lost Planet this is a sleeper title and i think it better than GOW if you haven't got this game its a must.

You are totally correct, but i am not willing to spned $500 for a single game. I see where you are coming from, and i feel that once more quality titles are released Sony will be in the running for best next gen console, its just a shame their launch titles were crap in general.

To bad there are morons that fight over something as lame as videogames *cough* dr.cool *cough*!! I cannot with a straight face say that the 360 is better than the ps3 based on specs, that would make me your typical n00b. I can't wait for more quality titles such as Final Fantast XIII are released so we can really compare games and be totally unbiased. Oh yeah, Lost Planet is awesome!!!

well i must say that right now i own the 3 current next gen systems and i must say that 360 at this momment is the best console to own, why? price/games, but...... i have downloaded 2 demos for my ps3, GT:HD and Genji and i must say that GT got my jaw dropped to the floor, the graphics are AMAZING, me and my girlfriend were without words, Genji sucks as a game but is so beatiful, so many colors, not even Lost planet seemed that good, sony have done a really good job but is too expensive and i think casual player are not willing to pay that much for a system, don't u think?

I don't know anyone personally who has bought a PS3, most of them say it's too expensive, and yes, the 360+HD-DVD is the same price, but, you don't have to buy HD-DVD to play games, also, the average consumer has been advised not to get into the HD format war yet:

I don't have anything against the PS3, but I haven't really been given a good reason to drop $500-$600 on a new system, I think if Sony starts putting out some killer, exclusive games on it, it might justify the pricetag, but right now, it just doesn't seem justified, at least to me, but also, neither did the 360 (to me) until Oblivion and GOW came out.

I bought itr cos is just matter of time for killer games to be release, thats for sure, also i'm a VG's system colector so i have systems form the 70's to these days and 3rd, i bulieve that the first systems released to the market (besides of migh giving you problems, thanks god that have neve happen to me) are the easier ones to be hacked, anyway, they might drop the price but i don't like to sit down and wait for that day.

they are just waiting to release games untill then for the europeans, and its a good for us because all the great games that were supposed to release sooner had more time to be polished and tuned.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

all i wished is the ps3 pricetag went down just a little bit! then i'd buy one right away..i have the 360 and its good for the price and he games out but i want to have the ps3 to for the games that will be coming soon...just wished sony would lower the price some day for there system...im sure its a great sysstem...dont know anyone who has it personally everyone says its to much $$$ sony would sell more if they lowerd the price of it thats what i think..but ill prolly buy one nexts month or soo:)

The way i looked at it was not the money what im getting for my money and trust me when you get one minus the games not being out you feel that the price is just.You get so much more than a gaming console plus you will be hooked on the Blu-ray movies i seen Superman Return..Rented from netfilx and it looked alwsome.Also the Browser on there plus adding you music which i hear they are going to release a firmware update to play your music during games because there has been a major up roar about this in there PS3 forum.

I think that the first price drop for PS3, you'll see wave after wave of people gobbling it up. I mean one exclusive is enough for most people, and for me. Metal Gear Solid 4 is that game. Now, if they get Kingdom hearts 3 it is a done deal.

I feel that way too, the list Bobby posted is nice, but a lot of those games are already out on the 360. I think for people like me who already own a 360, it will take a must have game to justify buying the console at the price it is now, and a price drop plus a must have game would make that decision even easier. I don't hate the PS3, I just love my money.

anyone else think warhawk is the ugliest game on ps3 besides untold legends?
i wish sony would make ut2007 an exclusive soon. that would boost sales for it alot. i have that the pc version is due in the summer and console versions arnt expected till the end of the year if even this year.. what wrong with epic?

Everything I've heard points to UT07 being exclusive(for consoles).
And I agree, Incognito really needs to make it look better, I mean LAIR just blows their shit out of the freaking water.
Although, at E3 MotorStorm didn't look too great, and now it looks amazing. So, I will reserve judgment until later.
