who cares who made it? your fualing an evil company.
yes you can see the 360 in action but the graphics are yet to be next gen, and nothing inside of it is anything comparable to next gen. so im saying the ps3 might be at one of these things, but you cant deny that due to lack of info. nothing was released much b4 e3 and then it all came out, something like this is going to happen again. hell how do you know they don have a system out yet? you think they would tell you? a smart compnay never lets its moves public to the compition.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Blue screen of death is still very much alive and kicking with windows xp. I had many recently with a very ill Dell pc (Dimensions xps gen5 running on a gig of ddr2 ram using prescott 660 3.6Gb cpu.
Had 2 indenticle pcs side by side both blue screened constantly and after about 20 hours on the phone with Dell i got them replaced
Knowledge should be shared and not used to deceive

well to tell ya the truth blu ray hasnt relli grabbed me at all.. to me its jus new technology comin into circulation, same as vhs to dvd n minidisc etc.. sony r jus the first t properly use it, eventually everythin will be runnin on it jus like dvd..

Hey anubis who made you the expert on next generation graphics you make vid cards, you write code for sony and MS or are you the chief engineer of technology. I'm just curious, we didn't know we were if in the pressence of such great knowledge. I tend to think you are repeating whay you heard in some blog. I'm not saying you don't have knowledge, because most of us don't have any,I just think you might be overstating your ability. I meen sony and MS have to be beating you door down ...right. I'm not trying to be an ass, i just don't think you or me or alot of us Jamochs have the ability to make that judgement. That is left to the experts.

yeah we can give our opinion but to say "i am just saying it as it is" just after saying ps3 is better than xbox 360 is just stupid. (i know you did not say that i was just using an example)

Yeah I not bashing you, everything we write is our opinion on a system we can't play. Same goes for the 360, you need to play it more than a couple of hours to make a good assesment of somthing.

so i have to play a game more than 5 hours to kow what works? i thik thats enuf. they made a demo disk thats is supposed to show the best and i was not wowed, i played real games and still not wowed (not to mention the controller bothers me.) this system is nothing to me, it means nothing, it is not nextgen, and all of you sucked in a laugh at you. if the ps3 ends up of as bad as the 360 im not gettin it either. ill stick with my new pc, since i use a pc so often.

I agree that sony is not stupid enough to go and lay down a trumph on the table and let anyone know exactly holding in their hand. I have no expert knowledge or experience in marketing but i dont think sony is letting out all the names of titles or other technical aspects with a purpose. They have not released the PS3 for a reason and i think they are trying to catch microsoft with their back turned so that they can get a couple good hits in while they are not looking. Sony has released info and specs for the ps3 and titles but it still seems like they are being a little hush hush to me about things.

anubis have you seen next gen from ps3, no, so how the frick do you know what it is, i might be gears of war or it might be something less like ghost recon.
also the only way a pc can play oblivion as well as an xbox 360 is if its on eof the latest and it must have a graphics card of shader modle 3.0 also you have to be watching on a HDTV. and thats just obivion, i mean xbox 360 has lost more better looking games lined up for 2006/2007

erm.again this is my oppinion, but oblivion does'nt look as great as you say. Well this point of view is from images, but then I've seen better.
It's just not graphics. RPG's are popular MOSTLY because of their plot, not graphical structure.

The last I check there was not a working PS3, not even at the CES show this year. I very easy to see that Sony was not prepared and know they're trying to make it seem that they were. As far as to say the X360 is not next gen hardware then tell me about a system the have triple core cpu. Let me point out that at every show the PS3 was in a case and the case always say concept model on it. Also at the last CES they did not even have a controller there to be view. We all are here taking about a system like a child talk about the Easter bunIt not here and we have not even seen a working system or game to-date and Sony want us to believe that they will have it ready before Christmas. Let face the truth the both are evil fortune 500 companies and the both lie a lot. This time around Sony got caught in theirs.

show me anything that needs a triple core cpu. thats general performance that is unneeded even in the pc world. 2 cores is alread great for that. in the ps3 there is the cell, next gen in and of itself, speciallized for the work of a console. then bluray, the next gen format for video and large backup. then there is bluetooth, something gaining popularity in the electronic world for close quaters networking between anything digital. is that not next gen enuf for you?
oh and fyi, my friend is emulating a 360 with a 7800gt. he runs CoD at 1280x1024 res at 50fps and madden at same res and fps. thats sad. his load times are also faster than the 360. tell me that that is next gen. tell me that dvd is next gen.
plus to show stupidity, did you not see i said dont let a guy know you have a knife till its in them. if sony were to say they have it working that would make m$ pick up the slack they are starting to show. the rsx has been tested and works, the cell has been tested with flying colors. bluray had a few issues but they have been pressed out and players are set to release. why would sony have an issue? explain to me why you still think this.

1. The objective of being next gen it to have some thing out there that is not standard. So if a triple core cpu is not needed then the Sony PS3 cell chip is also not needed.
2. Bluetooth was design for secure wireless transmitting. This is why it gain so much fame in a short time, but Bluetooth have a lot a problem the is not being said also unless you are trying to hide you controller input then there is no practical use for Bluetooth if wi-fi can do the same thing.
3. Bluray is a great media format and I want it to come out for pc, but as for a console concern it does not matter. As of not there is not a game that use 9.5 gigs of data for a console not saying it won't be like that in the future.
4. This is a market that live to show off in order to keep there market shares up high. So to think that Sony is hiding something good behind it back is a laugh. Sony has lost many little companies to the fact that it cost too much to make a game on their system. Also if Sony do have something so good to hide what make you think that Microsoft do not have to hide themselves.
5. The bottom line is this, Microsoft and Sony are both just bullies and have a bigger agenda in mind, Sony want to own the media storage business and Microsoft want to own the OS business and it just so happen that to own those business you must do it through the video game market in order to catch the next gen of people.

well here is where it looks like i'm contracdicting myself.. lol ^_^ i love how ps2 n xbox has turned out n i'm relli lookin forward t ps3, and actually owning an xbox360 aswell! lol.. but if we're going to moan about sony we've got moan about m$ too, because between them they've taken over the gaming world..
there used t be, megadrive and snes.. sega and nintendo.. we wer happy wiv tht.. then a company tht is arguably the best electronic company around, and they come n introduce the psx.. so nintendo make n64 and sega the saturn.. but then sony have t do one better and make the ps2.. so nintendo makes gamecube.. sega r strugglin and along comes the computer world giant m$.. who make the xbox..
say goodbye to good old sega and nintendo (maybe the true console gaming greats) and say hello to a battle between two huge cooperate companies!..........oh and a lil company called nintendo, who by the way r only still here because of the huge support from japan..

Haha, this is funny. please tell me, why dont you think the cell processor is'nt new?
Atleast it's a new type of processor, not a 3x core.
There are dual cored processors that are arround 2x powerfull than 360.
AMD 64 4400+ dual processor.
LOTS OF MONEY TO CREAT GAMES FOR ps3? wtf?
The dev kit is 3000$, and blueray disks arnt going to add much to price.
When you think of it, ps3 is *most* likely to sell more consols, so game developers will get more money. (more consols=more games sold)
So its a gain.

Erm, was 360 at ces January 2005?
ps3 is showing off nxt month. March 1st and second. They are having a show just for ps3 just to show what it is capable. And its not just sony telling us what it is capable of.
360 and ps3 are both next gen consols.

Actually, some polls show that in japan, people want 360 more than revolution. But 90% still went to ps3.

1. Bluray will add somuch to the price because sony had to make new building to make bluray disc.
2. Sony said that the got the ideal of the cpu from thier animation department studio they just added more power which make it no diffrent then the triple core.
3. in the world of business the more something is new the more it will cost, So since Sony have so much new thing to it it will cost a pretty penny.

you know makai i dont think your opini0on matters worth anything. bluetooth is a wifi rate at higher transer rates. more cores mean nothing, as kookoo said there are dual cored processors out that are 2x better than the 360's triple core. most of all that will never be used. many developers come out and say if you know opengl the ps3 is a whiz. everything you said is wrong, everything you are is wrong. here ony your disk size matters, wouldnt you like an open canvas for putting in many things to make the games last? games at the end of the psx life were about 500 megs, and at the end of ps2 went up to 3-4gigs. so you think there wont be another significant increase? not a chance?

Well i'm not sure if its 2x better, maybe like 1.5x, that doesnt matter, there are amd dual processors that are 4400+! equivalent to 4.4ghz cpu, (and its dual)
This also beats the cell anibus, i was just trying to point that a 3x processor with 3x weak cores is'nt as great as people think.
