Wow she sounds like a totally b-otch. This is really stupid. I just hope paradox saying d-day is coming soon and release's it and rubbs it in the fat ladies face.

In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

not 2 flame the thread or anything but i dont see why they would make a isoloader for fw below 1.5 or whatever its at now i cant remember but if u dont upgrade from this one three will be more 2 come and if u dont upgrade whats the point of ps3 ( no online play ) i mean seriously lets take a game like resistance after u beat the game like 3 or 4 times y would u want 2 play it again? u would want 2 go online and test your skills against other players correct? and if paradox only come out wiith the loader for 1 version they will come out with many more or no time ( remember i am not trying 2 flame just had 2 put my 2 sense into this thred) =)

Simple answer, people like me don't care about online play enough to lose the ability to load off a HD or the possibility of Homebrew. That's why I am at 1.10.

I agree with online play resistance blows online but as long as i get to play ps2 games online i am fine. But im pretty confident the ps3 will just keep on getting hacked and we'll be able to do things like the psp.

im not totally sure if we can do things exactly like the psp since you need the absolute latest firmware to do a lot of stuff online with the ps3

Hey guys, do u know if u'll be able to load a game using the internal hdd inside my pc through usb?
and how about the internal hdd inside the ps3 60gb?

Also, will the transfer speed of 480 Mbps via USB 2.0 (which is what most external hdds support through usb) be enough for games to load and be played from an external hdd?
i know this following question won't probably be answered after the loader/adapter comes out, but do u guys think it will cause games to lag, freeze, skip, etc..when loaded from an external hdd through usb at the aforementioned speed?

Thanks for any future replies!

No it won't lagg because 480mb/sec is transfer rate. You can see it won't lagg just like if you have a huge external hdd and play a video off of it. Playing them externally will not slow ne thing down.

Ok, so transfer rate doesn't have anything to do when you're playing a game through a usb cable on an external hdd since you're not transfering data, you're reading data, right?

Then, it will be a matter of read speed? the max read speed rate that the external hdd supports AND/OR the max data speed rate that can go THROUGH a usb 2.0 cable and the usb interface on both the ps3 and the hdd?

But since the folks that are currently testing Paradox haven't found problems with that as of now, then maybe the questions above really don't matter?

I just wanna make sure things like these are covered and tested by the time when (and if) an iso loader/adapter comes out

Blu-ray Disc read speeds are at 1X 36mbps and 2X(PS3's max) of 72mbps, so USB 2.0 if anything would be an improvement in load times, if the PS3 can process it fast enough.

Theres you answer there. When I load ps2 games off an hdd it cuts the load times in half. Hopefully I'll be able to play online.

I hope so, if not, then there SHOULD always be someone else who comes up with one, although, i would prefer a ps2 backup loader since i have a lot of ps2 backups!

Listen to this! Isent a email through youtube to the person who made the video and I asked if she worked for Sony and she said no. Here are some of the answers:
1.Do you work for sony?
$$$ony? No i don't. but do YOU?!
2.If so are you just reporting weaknesses to sony?
LMFAO! LFMAO! They can find their own weaknesses!!! hahahaha.
3.Yes, this will be released sometime in the future. We are taking our time & being cautious. not for $$$ony.
4.If so, when and how?
Wait & find out like the rest of the scene.
