Yeh upon downgrading I found that I had to create more directories than was in the guide but overall very easy to understand.
Now to attempt running homebrew. (Evil sniggers!)

Also this is another question about the homebrew GTA LCS.
I saw the cheatdevice that came out for GTA and it looked really cool but for some reason when I tried to load it it would just freeze and crash the PSP. Anyone know if this is a problem the homebrew thingy or is it not related?

What firmware do you have and if its 1.5 what loader are you using as there is been some reports that the cheat device does not work on some loaders

YEh, I don't think it works with MPH Loader. Although if you check some of the compatibility threads on all the UMD Loaders out there I did see one that can load GTA with the Cheat Device

Try using RunUMD with the patched Flash folder's, then try using Genises 2.6 Launcher. If it doesn't work, you can't play Smackdown vs Raw 2006 on your psp.

hey guys i havnt posted anything or asked any questions in a long time because for a long time i was completely satisfied w/ everything psp
i recently reformatted my computer and had previously burnt all my ISOs of the games i had onto a DVDR and i just put them back on my newly formatted computer. I also bought the 4 gig hard drive from datel. its great and im glad i bought it comparing to the price of regular gig sticks of like 80 bucks where the 4 gig hd is a little more than double that for 4 times much space and more batery life as well. the only thing im having problems w/ is that all the files of my games are no longer in iso format. when i open them they all have files within the folders like sysdir and usrdir along with some other files that cannot be read by my computer. they used to just be ISOs but i dont know what my computer needs to view them as ISOs. Does anyone know what i have to do to put them back in ISO format? Thank you anyway for reading this.

Hello,
This is my first post here....thought I would make it as I JUST NOW got my psp!
This FAQ is fantastic and has helped me a lot...
Theres a little bit that needs to be updated though, which pertains to my PSP :
For Question 9: (9. Q. I still want to buy off a shop, is there anyway I can tell, what firmware it is?)
My psp box said K, when I saw it in the shop I was really disappointed but bought it anyway, worse comes to worse I thought I would have to wait a few months before this "high version" gets cracked...
but when i opened it and charged it...its a 1.52!!!!!!
And according to that "important" paper notice telling me to run the update, if I run the update it will update me to 2.0
Note: This was purchased in Sweden, not the States.
If need be I can post a picture of the "K" part.
Cheers!

The SYSDIR folders and the USDIR folders should of been in the PSP_GAME folder, See if you take a ISO apart, like if you open it with WinRAR, you will see 2 files, a folder called PSP_GAME and a file called UMD_BOOT.bin or somethinglike that anyways, if you go to that PSP_GAME folder, in that folder (PSP_GAME) is where you find the 2 folders USDIR and that. When you burn't ISO's, you must of burn't it as a image so it made the ISO fall apart like when I burn my PS2 ISO's, they unpack the iso and burn the files. To get the ISO's back, download UMDGEN 2.xx, you can find it at www.psp-hacks.com. Then just put the SYSDIR and USDIR folders back into the PSP_GAME folder with the icon0 and background0.png's and other things that came with it into the PSP_GAME folder and it get the UMD_DATA.bin with PSP_GAME folder and drag it to the UMDGEN 2.XX window and press File>Save and save whereever you want and it should be compiled as a ISO.

I never tried a K and since it was higher then a K, it should of been higer then 2.00, maybe you got lucky :). And I said if you update via from your psp, (going to settings and check for Updates), then it will update to latest firmware.

Hey,
Yes, it should have been higher than 2.0 for a K, thats why I said maybe you should update the first and mention that if buying from Sweden; K could mean 1.52
Quote: And I said if you update via from your psp, (going to settings and check for Updates), then it will update to latest firmware.
I understand that, didnt mean to diss you in anyway.
You have written the best FAQ by far if you compare with nearly any site out there, awesome job!
Another thing, when I tried to play two of my UMDs on my now downgraded 1.5, it refuses to play and asks me to upgrade to a 2.0 minimum....after looking around I see that devhook 0.40/0.41 should solve most (if not all) of my problems.... true?
Thanks!

No, not an inside joke. Ppl keep asking how to boot 2.5 and 2.6 games using devhook .40, and we have figured some of the more popular ones out. Nobody want to search, but rather wants to be spoonfed. This is the best psp thread on aD in my opinion, and since it is stickied, ppl would be able to find it fast.
