Hey i have a levitron router. Never used them before but when we built our house we didnt have a choice. It is one of those multimedia centers. Its a levitron 4port gateway router. I used the address to where it takes me to a log on and pw screen. I tried admin and blank, admin and password. I have no idea what it could be any suggestions?
Thanks

Thought I would let you know I have got the High id to work thanks to judoboy, I have a dsl 300t modem with a di 624 router using a dwl-g520 wireless PCI card, the only thing I found wrong with the post for my needs were that i had to go to http://192.168.0.1, select DMZ change my IP and then save the info and it now works fine.

Hello. I was using eMule successfully until I installed a router 'D-Link DI-614+'. My IP support helped tweak it for eMule as much as possible. however, after about 5 minutes or so, eMule stops responding and crashes the computer. i tried everything including disabling zone alarm, and, I even bypassed the router and tried to use it as I did before I got the router. no Joy. I even uninstalled eMule, re-downloaded it and it still crashes.
XP firewall and zone alarm are disabled. I'm running a P4 3gig. Internet connection is ADSL 2Mb.
Any help would be great thank you.

Did you write down everything your ISP told you to tweak and de-tweak it? If so, maybe they did something on there end that is now harming you.

Thanks for your reply Pop..
The only thing that was tweaked was the router.
As I mentioned, bypassing it makes no difference. eMule connects, downloads and uploads for a short while, then just stops responding.

If you don't have the latest version of the eMule installer (and even if you do) redownload it and installing it then, if that doesn't work, defrag your comp and run anti-virus and anti-adware scans.
get Spybot S&D here:

I have ADSL 2Mb and the D-Link 614+ router. Had much trouble getting eMule to run. Eventually, my IP support configured everything for me by phone. eMule now works perfectly although I no longer run zone Alarm firewall, this has to be completely uninstalled.
Also, I was running AVG anti virus which also makes big problems. i'm now using a free avti virus called 'AVAST'
http://www.avast.com/eng/download/programs/avast_4_home_downloa.html
which is far better than AVG and it does not make any problems with the router.
So, problem solved, thanks for your input guys, and thank you afterdawn.

Hi
I am new to routers. Recently, I have bought a Jaht EA-2104G router to connect the two computers I have in my room. However, I notice that I can't download any files from EMule nor Overnet. I would like to know how to configure that, the manual says I can't turn the firewall off, but I can enable 'DMZ' and that I should allow others to see me or my server. What should I do to bring the downloading back?
Thank you for help

Actually as long as you have a firewall (Sygate is good, I use McAfee) and its kept up to date, you should be ok, do a search on this site and you should find a few posts on this subject.

Use Emule Plus, (its like Kazaa Lite) there is a option that makes it so if you get a "low id" call back from a server it tries another one tell you get a "high" id.
