I would like to add a few comments to some of the posts that i have seen throughout this thread.
Breaker Pro will only play PS1 imports and PAL copies on the PS2,PSTwo or PSOne ( not PS1, which is an older version console)
obviously the oppisite applies if you have an NTSC console.
If you are in the UK and are playing NTSC imports using swap magic and are having problems such as black and white images, choppiness or bad image quality it is probably your television....because PAL Tvs frequency is 50Hz and NTSC tvs are 60Hz. You can get around this by using an RGB AV cable if your televisin is 50/60Hz compatible ( most newer models should be.
I have seen them on one site in the UK, the slimtool.co.uk site, as for USA i dont know.
Swap Magic DVD should boot most of your games with no need to use the CD, except on rare occasions when some games just wont load using the DVD.
And finally, dont use ultra cheap DVDrs or CDrs when making copies of your games as you do get what you pay for ( as i found out when playing back ups on cheap DVDs, they dont last as long as you would think.)

I actually researched this one and had some hope. However, you can realize that it will not work simply by reading about Breaker Pro. 'Break Pro is compatible with all PS2 and PS1 consoles.' In order for this to happen, the disc has to be psx format...and as for the company in china, I don't think you're allowed to post sites like that.

Oh, I'm sorry...
For starters, the DVD version works after I did the lens fix. However, I cannot get PS2 CD games to work with the Swap Magic v3.8, oddly enough, I can get my backed up copy of Action Replay Max EVO to work but still not boot Cd's that way. I have tried both booting in Normal and with Special and it just goes to the PS2 browser screen. I am burning them with Alcohol 120% with the PS2 option checked... If I left anything important out, please tell me... I'm a complete n00b with PS2 backups, and yet not confused with my Xbox/360 or my PSP...

This is what happened when I put all of smboot file into Folder called SWAPMAGIC in my USB Drive. I Rename the program to SWAPMAGIC.ELF and I also add 4 other program in the same folder and they are SMBOOT0.ELF, SMBOOT1.ELF, SMBOOT2.ELF, SMBOOT3.ELF
So now I am trying to install it into my Memory cos that what it trying to install it into my Memory cos that what it say that I need it to play PS2 copy games. Once I put my USB drive into my PS2 port and then I put the Coder Disk too. And it loads to the screen where it says Installing. I get an Error saying "FILE.LST FILE READ ERROR!!"

I have almost no idea what the hell you are talking about. But I have found a problem, if not THE problem. FILE.LST file read error occurs because you have not included this file! Nowhere did you mention that you included this file, so it cannot find the file, becuase it is not there. You must include this file for it to be read.

Quote: Flip Top Users:
1.Turn On Your PS2.
2.Eject The PS2 Tray And Turn Off Your PS2.
3.Open The PS2 Flip Top Cover Adn You Should be able to see the lens and everything around it.
4.look for a little white round dial that may be partially covered,
5.after you have located this dial Mark where it is set at with a marker or pencil.
6. Now keep turn the dial counter clockwise until it the Ps2 lens drops(you will see the lens module go down). Now turn on your ps2 and insert the ps2 game that used to say "Disc Read Error",does the game load? if it does then you are done. If it does not load then you need to turn the dial some more.keep turning the little dial and checking if the cd reads. it may take a while to find the spot on the dial so that it can read properly, but it is worth the time since it saves you money on buying a new PS2 Lens.
Is this little white dial on all versions of the fat Ps2's? Or only the ones with 10 screws under the bottom? Because i have a disk reading problem and i've been looking around the net for solutions, but they were all about 10 screw Ps2's. My Ps2 is a v7.

I have read the User Manual over 100 times and still having hard time to understanding it. I have also downloaded smboot.zip File from Link that User Manual has. So i extract it and i dont know which file should i add to my USB. So i add all of smboot.zip file that I extract it into SwapMagic Folder cos User Manual said i have to make a folder called SwapMagic. Plus i also i added those 5 Program by renaming each .elf file SWAPMAGIC.ELF, SMBOOT0.ELF, SMBOOT1.ELF, SMBOOT2.ELF, SMBOOT3.ELF and the next thing i do is load them with Coder Disk and USB into ps2 port and then it goes to that screen where it is installing but it didnt install it so I get that FILE.LST file read error. Thank you for posting.
So What am I doing wrong here? I am trying to install those file into my Memory Card in order to play those games.

I'm not sure what you need to do. All I can recommend is play around with it until you figure it out. Search google for that file name and see what comes up.

OK where is your logic behind this? many people have had this idea, but think about had that would work? Swap magic is for booting burned games. In order to use burned games you need swap magic (or another boot method). How can you boot swap magic(a game) with using an original swap magic(or other boot method)? Thought so. Think about it before you waste dvd's trying it.

This information is actually very accurate. However, you cannot change these sectors. If you could change these sectors, you could just as easily change the sectors on the ps2 games you're burning, eliminating the need for a boot disc. The process these people are talking about involves very expensive equipment that most people don't have. As for why people waste time uploading it to the internet, I have no idea. Maybe they have nothing better to do than than waste their time, because their time has no value.

The method suggested by Soxx96 (Memorex media with slowest burn speed? I can't remember exactly...) is actually notoriously frowned upon. Memorex used to be a decent brand with a good name. Now a days their quality control does not exist and the quality is hit or miss. It could work, but Memorex has problems with data corruption as well these days. I have heard of discs going bad in just a couple months after burning. I would suggest Verbatim media, or another well-known well-trusted brand. Also, burning at slowest speeds has been revealed to be a bad thing...You have to play with speed settings, as well as media brands to see which combination works best with your ps2. I would reccomend starting out at either 4x or 8x if you can, as 1x ps2 boots rarely work for me. Also look around the site, you can probably find more useful information. It's good to ask questions, but not ones that have already been answered.
