You have to forward a port through your router and possibly set a static ip address if your router is selecting a new one each time you reboot. Go here, find your router, click on it, find your program on the next page, click it and follow the instructions: http://portforward.com/english/routers/p...routerindex.htm

You'll have to Google for info or contact your ISP, they should be very helpful. Any help here http://www.usr.com/support/8004/8004-ug/three.html or http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/NAT...Broadband_Modem

is 10.1 KB/s normal for a file with 90 seeds and 500 peers?

It can be depending on your number of connections, how much of the file the peers you're connected to have completed, etc. Those 90 seeds are uploading to 500 peers. If it was 500 seeds and 90 peers with that speed, I'd say you had a problem. Sometimes, just pausing your download to let more peers complete or letting them get to a point where they have more of the file than you will help.

Ok, i have now opened port 5555 to ABC, but it's still only D/Ls under 20KB/s? and i also ran a speedtest to my connection (1/512mb) and the result is blazin: Speed:
282.2 kilobits per second

Communications: 282.2 kilobits per second
Storage: 34.4 kilobytes per second
1MB file download: 29.7 seconds
Subjective rating: Mediocre

Tho, i had Messenger and abc downloading for about 20KB/s when i did that check. Any tips how to improve the speed?

Use a port over 10,000 and ensure your ip address hasn't changed at ipconfig/all. If it has, you'll need to set a static ip address to forward to.

Go here, find your router, click on it, find your program on the next page, click it and follow the instructions: http://portforward.com/english/routers/p...routerindex.htm and here for a static address but pay attention to the section on DNS servers and Default Gateway, they can't be the same or else you'll have to obtain them from your router or ISP: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

Use a port over 50,000 and check this list to see if your ISP is on it: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs Also enable Protocol Encryption: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395674 and disable UPnP: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/UPnP

I don't completely understand, above you are saying you made those changes but I'm not sure about the static ip address. Your computer has an ip address assigned to it by your router that may change each time you reboot (dynamic) and when you set it to static, it can't change. To find out, go to start>run, type in cmd or command and select ok. Now, in the black window, type ipconfig/all and select enter. If your DNS server (s) and Default Gateway (router address) are the same you will have to obtain your DNS server (s) elsewhere when you seta static address. Make a note of your ip address there and leave by typing exit and selecting enter or just close. Shut down your computer for 10 minutes and when you restart, check your ip address again. If it's different, it will need to be static or any port forwarding is useless. I haven't used Zone Alarm but it should have popped up a box asking if you wanted to allow Azureus or have somewhere to set Azureus and it's port as an exception. Meanwhile, who is your ISP (the company you pay each month for your internet connection), what port is entered in Azureus and is it the factory setting, have you enabled Protocol Encryption and disabled UPnP as the guides I gave you show?

A port over 50,000 that isn't the default, Protocol Encryption enabled, UPnP disabled and allowing Azureus through Zone Alarm are all I can suggest.

With Azureus, you only need to forward 1 port, say Azur1 to 55350 for start and end and port map but choose both TCP and UDP in the protocol box. If you haven't yet, the links for UPnP and Protocol Encryption are above in one of my replies.

Sounds like your ISP is throttling you or, maybe, you have Vista installed.

First Dakness, edit out you email address, it's against forum rules and a good way to invite spamming. Now, do you use a router that may change your ip address when you start. What client and port do you use, is there any other firewall running like Windows, do you know if your ISP is port blocking; do you see it here: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs

Sorry i didnt know about it, that email is my alt one. Sometimes i use it because i dont want stupid ppl send me stuff and full my email w/ trash,I use bitcomet and about the port i dont know cuz i havent open any cuz of the firewall and it is the norton one. It is temporaly unblock but im new in terms of opening ports and playing w/ ip adress and stuff. the only thing i cant explain is why some of my torrents can start w/ 100kb/s and in the middle desappears and starts at 1kb/s and then it doesnt change again.
May i send private messenges to mistycat and camdog refering of my ip adress and stuff? [ <--- that's what we prefer - Nephilim]

Now you better edit out both email addresses, the edit button is the pen and paper in the right above your post, just click it. If you don't use a router, you don't need to port forward and your ip address won't matter and I don't know why it's different. I don't use Bitcomet but there should be somewhere in it to select a port, use one over 10,000 and that isn't the default. Also, enable Protocol Encryption: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395674 As long as Bitcomet is allowed through Norton and it is your only firewall, it should be fine. Edit: the port can be found in Bitcomet in the menu at the top at options>preferences>connection, listen port on the right and disable UPnP at options>preferences>advanced>connection.
