Hi ZO. Never seen it. Guess I'll have to add it to my collection. You know a couple of my friends didn't think TDK was all that, especially after watching it the 2nd time around. I agreed myself. To each his own but man does hype go a long way.

TDK is pretty good, but not the best. I'm all ready to start up DVD-Rebuilder Pro + CCE SP2 once it's released here tuesday. Haven't used DVD-Rebuilder lately, so I guess TDK is worth it.

Just got finished backing up TDK (movie only as always)using AnyDVD 6.4.9.0 and Shrink. After adjustments burned to hard drive as DVD 9. If I chose to compress to a DVD5 it will be at 76% compression.

Hi Guys
I have read that some people are having a problem in backing up The Dark Knight.
I have just downloaded DVDFab Platinum 5.1.2.2 and everything seems to work perfectly. I used DVD Shrink to copy files and DVD Decrypter to burn disc.

Will watch the back up today and let you know how it went.

OK IT HAS WORKED PERFECTLY. NOT A SINGLE GLITCH

after ripping with anydvd i used DVD Rebuilder to encode and clonedvd to burn, compression read 53% with clonedvd so i used DVD Rebuilder

doesn't seem to be that heavily protected

Have to remember also that in addition to all the protection they released it with a lot of additional features that were actually edited out, but after Ledger's untimely death felt they should put back in. So actually about 40 mins. or so was initially cut out. I might just split it if I decide to snatch it today or leave it on the hd and maybe play w/it using Rebuilder for the 1st time. Not sweating this all that much though. The copy I made to DVD 5 was pretty good until the final end and into the credits using Fab Movie Only.

DVDFab HD Decrypter 5205 ripped this beast within 13 mins flawlessly. And as usual, I have VobBlanker took care of few useless junks and processed it smoothly. Nero Recode 3 shows 69.6% Video Quality (that's 31.4% compression), so yep... I'm gonna fire up DVD-Rebuilder Pro + CCE SP2 and report back/later.

Good luck to all.

LOL. They spelled the Dvd Label wrong. Doesnt look as bad as I expected!

Please note that dvd shrink was used AFTER anydvd ripper. Anydvd "on the fly," does not utilize its "fixvts" capabilities. Atleast not that im aware of. So unreferenced material is no longer there. Here is a "before" Still.

Compression for main title was 67% and 20min total process time (AEC deep analysis), AFTER rip. And here is the "after"

This was just a test run. I will be using Rebuilder for my finished backup. Though I am quite impressed with shrinks quality.

I won't be impressed by rebuilder. TDK, ripped to files, not ISO, with AnyDVD ripper 10min. and Burned Verbatim DL MIS disc in 40 min 2.4X, no problemo Thanks Slysoft- you're the best. Now will go watch it while Nero Recode makes a perfectly good compressed DVD 4.7 disc. There was no fun in doing this; an alligator could do it.
