Yikes. Wait a sec. What's with the $7.00 ground shipping fee? Is that normal?
EDIT: Eh. Seems to be the same shipping fee at Meritline.com.
Newegg is supposed to get another shipment in tomorrow at 5:30 PM CST. I'll probably just hold and wait for those. Same price but only $4.00 shipping.
Yes, i'm a cheap bastard around this time of the year, and prefer to pay a little less. ;-)

I wish more people would listen like you. I'm glad you have good results. Nothing irritates me more when people use crap media and complain their games don't work. They claim it's not the media, that their other games work fine. That's how cheap media works. It's quality degrades quickly over time, and it won't fail with all discs, just a high percentage, anywhere from 20%-50%. So enjoy your TY's, they're the best.

I was reading in another thread where a user was complaining about labels messing up his games and alcohol said that his avatar pic was a disk where he printed the picture onto it. That looked tight, how would I go about doing this? I don't have a printer and was wondering which printers do this. Also can I print onto the TY's Tokijin was mentioning, cause those are the ones I have.

i don't know what you guys are talking about i have used memorex Cd's and DVD's since like 97' and i have never had a coaster unless my computer froze or something but never b/c of the cd. you must be doing something wrong, because if you burn things correctly with the correct programs then you will get a perfect burn every time. ~Andrew~

Have you ever scanned any of those burns after couple months with CD/DVD Speed or DVDInfoPro? CMC Mag media degrades over time. You'll probably get CRC errors and PIF failures all over the place. It uses cheap dyes which wear down your PS2 laser. Anybody who's an AD addict knows how to burn DVD's. The assertion that they're using the wrong software or burn speeds is laughable. I'm glad CMC Mag works for you. Everybody else who's reading this use good media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.

it does work good and i have cds from way back and they work fine, a cd is a cd. its kinda like a cd player, yeah one may cost 100$ and one may cost 40$ but sometimes cheaper is better.and Verbatim is probaly the cheapest cd's around.im in band and thats what they use at the studio we use to record our album is memorex.everything degrades.but memorex is a great company that puts out great media.and you cant wear down a laser on a ps2. they're not that cheap. i know if u use a gameshark it will bugger up your ps2. but dont listen to these morons, get whatever cd's you want they all work the same. except fujifilm..eek man i stole some of those one time and they didnt work at all.whats your proof besides "my friend told me and he knows!" ? ~Andrew~

Ah where to start? Getting called a moron buy someone who claims CMC Mag media is good, I must admit that's a first. Feel free to listen to Fusion 321 if you want. Media quality doesn't matter at all. I'm sure all the AD addicts I've talked to who have 10,000's of successful burns between them are wrong and Fusion 321 is right. Feel free to believe me or him, the choice is yours. I'll leave that call to whoever is reading this. Sheesh, that's the problem with long weekends, every 12 year old with a PC and internet access has an opinion. Oh well people enjoy your weekend and Happy Burning!

actully you moron im 16, and my brother is a programmer for SCEA i know a tad or too about media.im rarely on the computer, but you never answered my question, whats your proof? i make tons of burns and i have never, NEVER had a coaster from memorex cd's or DVD's it dosent matter who listens thats what the internet is for. opinions, and this is my 2 cents and i definitly dont see the point in having order a pack of cd's when you can just run down to comp-usa and buy some great brand name ones. i got 100 pack Memorex CD-R's for $20 i havent oopsed up any one of them yet.admit it now your just trying to see who has the bigger balls because you have an ego problem, you got made fun of for being smart and trying to be right all the time in school didnt you? so you express your wanting to have a place in life by telling everyone your right.because it makes you feel important. yeah my mom is a phychatric nurse as well.and obviously your a
child, how many adults are into Anime? arnt those just cartoons with bigger words and less comedy in them? and call me Andrew you know no one calls you Tokijin ~Andrew~

yeah they did make computers then ive always been pretty bright and who cares i know they work and thats all i need.and exactly how old are you? b/c obviously your a loser if you have to spend every waking minute on a computer.i mean seriously i have accomplised more in my 16 years than you have in your entire life.i hardly ever play video games any more, im always on the road.thats what i use and i tried to prove a point that just because someone says something dosent make them right, memorex are fine, they work fine year after year.and im sure your cd's work fine as well. ~Andrew~

Look man. I'm not going to argue with you. If you want to use Memorex, go ahead. I could care less what you do. I care that noobs reading this might think you're right and wonder why their PS2 backups don't boot. If you use CMC Mag media, over time the quality of your media will degrade, it'll skip, fail to boot, lag, or freeze. On top of that Memorex and CMC Magnetics plants use really cheap dye on the bottom of the discs which causes your PS2 laser to strain unecessarily. The more it strains, the quicker it'll burn out and need replaced. This is a PS2 forum if you hadn't noticed. I guess I am a loser, cuz I spend a lot of time on the computer and this site. People here seem to refer to me as a loser all the time. So if you have nothing useful to add to the discussion, why not phase yourself out. Peace.

@fusion231 -
my my how could i guess you were 16 (and i don't mean to belittle anyone else who is 16 btw). we all have opinions but your attitude is best kept at school. CD quality is something very different from DVD quality. Period.
Now clean up the language/attitude or you can ship out. Understand ?

I would like to see a couple of Nero CD-DVD scans from fusion231's 5-7 year old Memorex media burns.
That ought to bright up my morning with a kickstart. :-)

So fusion231, why do you choose to be this way? Tokijin's rep speaks for itself here: he doesn't go to every post he can and show how smart he is, what he does, rather, is researches the subjects that interest him, or don't for that matter, for the benefit of others so they can get their problems answered. At least that's the best I've picked up. Making fun of him liking anime? Looks like that's the best thing you can resort to after having your views under fire, which is very petulant I might add. Tokijin, I'm not an AD Addict yet, but I have your back anytime man.

Thanks Ofnir. See the thing here is despite insulting me several times, Fusion321 is entitled to his opinion. I tried to tell him that, he just didn't want to listen. If he has anything useful to add to AD in the future, he should definitely do so. That being said I will defend good media to the death lol. Burn on!

Did you use your Memorex media? Was it DVD+R media? Chances are it's not going to be recognized by the ps2.
