umm swap magic is not really used with dvd decryptor. dvd decryptor decrypts your DVDs so u get the file that is burned on basically. swap magic is a program u use for ps2 to load backups and burned games so u dont have to use a modchip

All right, I'll try to be as specific with this as I possibly can be.
I burned the game DDR Strike (incase you're unsure of what that is, it's a dance simulation game) using DVD Decrypter, under ISO write. Even though I selected 1x write speed, it ended up averaging at 3.7x, with 3.9x being the highest. I didn't think too much of this, although this might be the problem.
The disc I used was a Fujifilm DVD+R format with up to 8x write speed.
The problem is an odd one, though. I was definitely able to get the game to work, and it worked just like any of the ones I owned. Loaded properly, read memory card, everything was there. I played this for a while, and it was fine.
Then I tried selecting the next song in the list, and it stayed at the loading screen for about thirty seconds, but eventually the song loaded right up. I played it, there wasn't any lag or anything of the sort, although.. about thirty seconds in the music stops and starts over at the beginning, but the arrows and background keep on at the proper pace. This happens even with songs that I had previously played without any problem.
So is the solution..
A new brand of disc?
A new format? (DVD-R)
A slower write speed? (Like I said, I tried doing 1x with DVD Decrypter, but it averaged 3.7x anyway)
A new program? (I'm open to any suggestions)
Anything else? There's probably a lot that I haven't thought of. I just find it odd that a game would work fine one minute, and then have trouble the next. Also, when I try using Swap Magic to load up the game now, after turning it off, it takes a really long time to load up initially, and then for every new screen there is also a delay, which wasn't there before.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

oh ok sure, take a look around the stikes and youll find your answer
88. Q. How do I burn PS2 DVD games with Alcohol 120%?
A. Ripping the game to your Hard Drive:
1. Insert your disc.
2. Open Alcohol 120%.
3. Click Image Making Wizard.
4. Check Ignore read errors, select your recorder, leave the never separate box alone.
5. Click Next. Select a destination for the game. Click Start.
Once the process is complete, you'll get an mds and an mdf file. Click finish, if necessary.
Burning the game to DVD:
1. Insert your blank disc.
2. Right click the mdf file.
3. Select Image Burning Wizard.
4. Select your recorder, set the write speed to 4x.
5. Click next.
Note: I use Alcohol 120% as my backup program for ripping scratched originals. DVD Decrypter can be picky with scratched discs. I use DVD Decrypter to burn the mds file. For purposes of this guide, I'm assuming you are using Alcohol 120% to burn the game to disc. Feel free to use whatever works for you.

Yes i have been reading everything u guys have been talking about, and i have a few questions now...
last night i did burn the game Gun as an ISO using DVD Decrypter.
the game is on the disk, but when i put it into my ps2 it freezes...then unfreezes and so on. At one point i did play the game, however everything takes so incredibly long to load and some of the dialogue in the game didnt work.
this morning i decided to try burning the game with DVD Decrypter, but at a lower speed....
now it wont work and says some kind of error with the disk, and i did try different disks.
anyone have this problem? anyone know how to solve it? thnx.
