this is the log
hey so when i try to burn a dvd, i get this 'illegal disk' error. i even tried installing windows again. what is the problem? someone helpppp pleeeeaaaaaaaaaaseee!!

I don't know who makes these disks, but you may have better luck using Verbatim DataLife disks (don't buy the 'Value Series' ones).

Try setting the burn speed back to 8x or 4x.
In order of preference, I would.
1 change the speed
2 change the disks
3 change the firmware

Disc Manufacturer ID: MBIPG101, Media Type ID: R05
made by Moser Baer of India. I saw people on other sites have problem with these. Imation, TDK and Memorex has used them in past. Poor firmware support was an issue.

oh hey thanks guys. updating firmware worked. there is a problem with disks too. some disks work and some dont. anyway now its working. thanks a lot!!
