In Vista SP2 x64 all was fine but i wanted to upgrade to win7 x64, so i did. Everything went well but when i wanted to burn some DVDs, started nero burning rom, started ok, but when i want to browse my hdd partitions it just freezes. Do not use cpu at all, ram usage is about 40mb - 103mb. Nero burning rom worked well in Vista SP2 x64.Other burning softwares work (ashampoo burning studio 9), nero does not.
So i was thinking that this is due to UAC so i run it as administrator.Didn't work.Run in compatibility mode for Vista (SP2 ,SP1), XP (SP2, SP3) - sometimes work, sometimes don't.Disabled UAC tried all over again, same thing - sometimes work, sometimes don't.

Any ideas ...

Apparently there is some conflict with Win7. Wait for update from Nero site if they mentioned something.

Does the cursor just spin in a circle when you click on the action that you want to perform??? and then nero does nothing......program doesnt respond??

Thanks

Yes that is the case.Just spins and nero stops responding but it never use cpu or ram too much.If you end task nero it will exit the program.

It must be nero's "compatibility" with Win7. BTW Win7 is buggy as hell.

Hello IQooLogic,

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
Did you try the "upgrade advisor" located at the link below?
http://tinyurl.com/no4xb7

The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor will determine if your current computer configuration will be compatible with Windows 7, for further information as well as a link for download please go here: http://tinyurl.com/no4xb7

Another resource to verify compatibility is available at the Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center located at the following link: http://bit.ly/1gW6Ns

Also, please note that when migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 you will not have an "in place upgrade" option. You will however have the option to select "custom" install when prompted. The Windows 7 install process will then copy all of your data in "My Documents" over to a Windows.old folder within Windows 7 itself. All applications and documents stored in other locations will have to be reinstalled / transferred manually.

For more information on the Windows 7 Upgrade, please go here: http://bit.ly/3DvynK

For additional assistance with the migration of Windows XP to Windows 7, please go here: http://tinyurl.com/mhbep4

Some supporting files has been corrupted in Nero version. So You can upgrade your current nreo version Through nero officially web site and then you can check it. If then nero is not perfectly working then you can uninstall that version and then install latest version of nero.

tnx Win7Guy but I know that staff (computer geek here :P) and didn't migrated from XP but from Vista SP2 and did clean install (hate updating from one OS to another).
I ran Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and all of my HW was and is compatible with Win 7.
But I recently changed mobo and cpu, done clean install Win 7 Ultimate and Nero 9 worked :) and I noticed better Win 7 performance. Maybe old mobo wasn't that much compatible with Win 7, who know.

Tnx all of u for helping me out
