Nero 12 is the latest (at this time).

Define "Best"?? The version that works with your OS, is stable, and does what you want it to would be the "Best".

I always liked v6.6.0.18 -- It worked with Win XP. Does not work with Win 7. So, it would not be the best for a 7 user.

Post what you want it to do, OS, etc. You might get more pertinent input.

there was a thread created by me a few years back asking for free burning software after i got a new computer.i personally find the free programs are just as good as nero if not better.
