Can anyone help me! I was trying to copy some pictures from my files onto DVD useing Nero express but could not manage, every time I added the pictures and went burn them a pop up came on and said it could not find the d or f drives that are able to copy. The drive box at top of the screen said immage recorder or something and I could not change them.
I know the drives do work, I can put a disc of music or pictures or even games and they work fine, it just a problem when I need copy from computer to disc drive.

Which version of Nero Express are you using? If its old then consider updating or reinstall Nero. If still causing problems try burning to disc another way i.e.
Right-Click on the files/folders you want to copy to disc go on send to, then the disc drive. A balloon should pop up from taskbar saying: You have files waiting to be written to CD/DVD, click on that balloon and it should come up with a window with a section saying: files waiting to be written, on the side bar it should say Write These files to CD/DVD or something simular if not click file then: Write these f..... should be there, Click that then The Windows Disc Burner should come up.

Hope that solves your problem.

If you want free stuff download uTorrent and visit thepiratebay.org/ I use tpb all the time barely any viruses are found so dont worry.

There are many you can use, nero seems to be the best, but if you don't want to pay then there are loads of alternatives out there.

interesting.. chances are if it's a new pc with sata drives then any nero under 7 will have fun finding them... or are they dvd-rom drives we have here? y'know.. given the intelligence level of the modern computer buying public I do wonder sometimes.

Lets make every machine command line unix.. bring the brains back. You need a licence to drive a car.. hows about an internet licence?

Internet license:)?
Well, how about a license to be born, or breathe...there are plenty of people that shouldn't be allowed to exist. Or at least put a tax for stupidity...that's where the gov'mnt would make their nice cash.

I tried to install nero 8 hoping that would fix the problem but instead it just told me it could not uninstall nero 7 fatal scar error or something. I also tried add and remove programs but also to no luck. Any suggestions?

You could try using Nero Remove Tool...but then again, why not use ImgBurn? Can't get any easier...unless you like self inflicting pain trying to make Nero work...

hehehe
fun for new years eve.. brilliant..

are we sure these are burners we have here? .. usually if nero will only use the image recorder it's because

a: no burners are fitted .. or
b: the "use this recorder" in xp device properties isn't ticked.

I have tried all that, the choose recorder box was ticked, I have tried draging them in from the the music file, I have sent them to both D and F drive but with no joy, it just does not find the DVD, I think I can copy CDS.

I know they are burners I have burnt dvds on them before.

Any more help its starting to do my head in now.
