Hi, i'm new in this forum and it's the first the time i'm going to write a thread here. My problem is that, I use Bittornado, when downloading, I'm getting slow download rate (1kB/s) even with many peers and many seeds. Its just now that i'm getting that. Before, all was good. I had also tried other torrent clients(BitComet,Azureus).

I'm have a 128kb/s adsl with 64kb/s for upload. I can download at 16kB/s and upload at 8kB/s. I'm using windows XP Pro Service Pack 2, with Windows Firewall off. I also have Norton Antivirus 2005 with its Internet Worm Protection;(Another firewall with Norton), also off.

I wish someone can get me out of trouble as I can't download anything even a 5mb file with many peers and many seeds. It took me 5hour for that. I download those torrents at Torrentreactor.net and also Torrentsearch.com.

Pentium 4, 80GB Maxtor Hard Disk, Nvidia FX 5200 128mb, 256mb RAM, ABIT motherboard.

you should give it some time, that always works for me. After one hour my downloads are goin fast like 120kb/s

What was the situation in which it began to work slower? You should see if whatever change came to your computer could be resolved through that. If you have a router, that could also be a factor, as this would not allow your P2P connection to go any faster. If you don't, then go into BitTornado when it's running and change the ports it is working off.

Just have a torrent open, then go to Prefs, then where it has the numbers (like 6881, or whatever number, and another number below it near the same), and change the numbers to something higher. Try putting the numbers higher than 15000, and make sure that when you do that, it goes through your firewall.
