yeah i am a member of torrentleech.org and i cant download anything because my BT client wont let me. for some reason my torrents are operating fine (i am on a fresh version of windows) but i am recieveing data in spurts. on one of my downloads at the moment i am connected 40 peers and 3-4 seeds but i am not uploading or recieving. i sometimes get spurts where it will download at 1kb or a little higher. but other then that it just sits at 0kb D/l and 0kb up/l. I have no router and have high speed cable 3.0mbs 384kbs upload. i was downloading fine before off torrentleech.org getting speeds of over 300kbs but now i cant get anything. anyone no what i should do?

You need to switch Bt clients. They (and most other private sites) have banned c++ applications, wich BitTornado is. I would strongly suggest using utorrent. Its small and effective. Heres the link:
http://www.utorrent.com/
This should fix your problems ;-D

I am in Canada and I have had both Bell h/s and Rogers extreme. I'm currently using Rogers extreme wich is quicker than anything Bell has. I get great speeds (up and down), I use utorrent, no router, and winxp firewall. Make sure ur ports are fresh and let through the firewall correctly. to do this look here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/9/263334 under my name.
Run online NAT test: https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=
After = put in ur port #. Should come back "open!". If it doesnt switch port #'s till it does. And leave ur client on when running this test.
Hope this helps ;-D

U should use a firewall, heres how u let ports through winxp firewall:
~ Go to ur firewall/security
~ click on expections tab
~ add new port
~ in the top bar put in name ie: az, utorrent.
~ then in bottom one put in ur port #
~ do this both for tcp and udp listening ports
~ then go to advance tab
~ click settings for ur connection ur using
~ u will be in services tab
~ click add
~ then put in ur info
~ name of client
~ ur ip addy
~ then put in same port # as before, in both internal and external
~ do this for both udp and tcp
~ ok everything, put port # in ur client
~ reboot
;-D
