BitTornado is up and internet goes slow...

Pretty much what the topic describes. When I open my torrent up, my internet just gets wayyyyy slow. And I'm not even downloading fast. Help?

Just a guess, it may be that you are using too much of your upload bandwidth. Have you set a limit on uploads?

I have Azereus so I am not certain if it is the same for your client. But, I have to set my upload limit for Az to 80% of my upload ability or my internet access is greatly slowed.

The BitTornado guide here says 90%.
