I'm not sure if the hack will work for 98. I know the nintendo drivers only work for xp or so it says. No harm in trying. Maybe theres driver updates at the buffalo site?
Sorry I couldn't help more as I'm running XP

You have to fully remove nintendo drivers and then search for their folders and delete them to . Then install the buffalo drivers...

When it does this does it give you the option to choose another driver, if so point to the driver location of the buffalo drivers

I did a little digging in the program files and this should work with 98 thur XP as these drivers can be found under the asus folder. Not sure but do you have to find these your self in 98? Either way it should work.

hey guys! i had lots of probs with this.

but i figured out a way to make this work if it is not working now.

(make sure you have installed all of the drivers)

1. ok, go to your network connections
2. highlight your LAN connection and your buffalo usb connector (by ctrl clicking them.

3. then right click one of them and click bridge connections
4. wait until its done and it should look a little like this

5. then try to connect again.

this worked PERFECTLY for me but if this does not work for you im sorry but i do not know any other solutions.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

If I have some extra time I'll dig out my old computer with 98 on it and see what I can come up with. In the mean time heres a link to the real buffalo connector.
http://buffalotech.com/files/products/WL...I_DS_080805.pdf

Sure looks like a match and if thats the case then why not just use their auto install program found here under this code WLI-U2-KG54-AI

Heres that link and look for the code under the pull down menu.

http://buffalotech.com/support/downloads/

Let me know if you try this and it works.

Hi,

I followed the instructions in the video but cant get my ds to connect using the wifi adapter.
I turn my ds on with mario kart inside and try to connect but get error code 52000.
I go to wifi settings and try to connect but get the same error number.
I tried to bridge the connection but it did not work same error.
I also tried sharing the connections.
I tried to enter the ip address into the ds but it kept saying settings are invalid can someone please help me here with what i have to enter into the ds.
There is :ssid/wep key/auto obatin ip addy?/ip address/subnet mask/gateway/prim dns/second dns what do i change or enter??
Please help as i woul love to get it to work.
I also heard that you have to change either the wifi adaptor or int connection on the pc to sharded is this correct?
Thanks in advance.
