I still try to follow along with the video, but I don't get the same things to come up as you do.

i tried doing that without asking but, everytime i plug the usb connecotr in, new hardware "Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector" pops up, intstead of buffalo driver or whatever it is in the videos.
I went in and deleted everything pertaining to Nintendo or USB or Wi-Fi that really was nintendo related and still to no avail.
can you help me delete the driver, cuz when i go into add new hardware, the computer still says it is able to install the nintendo thing because it has been recently plugged into the comp.

Do you have the asus drivers installed? Go back and repeat steps 2,3,4,5. This should take care of the problem, if not try to direct windows to the proper drivers location

Im on step 2. I haven't gotten anything so far. I'm following the video and when he plugs in the usb connector, the buffalo thing pops up. When I plug it in, Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector pops up and I'm wondering how to make it pop up with buffalo.
You said delete the nintendo driver, and I deleted everything nintendo related from my comp., but buffalo still doesn't pop up.
I can't do the steps out of order, can I?

Once you have the drivers installed its a peice of cake. Have you tried to use your control panel to install the drivers. One other thing search for the drivers one more time then reinstall the other drivers...Let me know how you make out and I'll send you an step by step to get your ds and any other thing up and running.
P.S. When the nintendo screen comes up just say no and goto the add hardware in the control panel and point to the asus drivers...Give this a try.

Every time I get as far as step 6 and I try to hit apply on the part where I have to un-tick enable ICS box, it always comes up with an error that says "Cannot Copy Driver to system directory". How do I fix that?

Hello, I seem to be stuck on the part where i must install the buffalo driver. I click "update driver" on the Nintendo Wi-Fi usb connector, then i click "Install from a list or specific location (Advance). Then i browse and direct it to the "drivers" folder in the "nin_wifi_fullpack. After i click next i get the Hardware Installation window where i have to click "continue anyway" but in that same window it says "The software you are installing for this hardware: " Nintendo wi-fi usb connector". In the video Kcajblue made, the Buffalo drivers name showed up instead of the nintendo wifi one. Basically my problem is that my computer things im trying to install the nintendo driver all over again. What can i do to change this?

Alright, i uninstalled the driver rebooted and attempted to install it using the drivers folder in the nin_wifi_fullpack but i get the same problem. The computer is thinking that i am trying to install the Nintendo wifi usb connector and not the Buffalo drive. Im thinking theres a problem with the drivers folder in the nin_wifi_fullpack i had to download to install this thing, but i may be wrong since some of you got it working.

Alright, maybe try to install using control panel (add remove programs) and point windows to the system32\drivers folder and the driver you installed earlier....
One other thing make sure you've searched for the nintendo folders before and delete. Let me know if this works and I'll try to think of anything else but I have to go right now. Good luck.
I haven't watch the video I found the few steps 1 to 7 are very easy to follow and once you have that done I'll send you the right way to set it up which are step by step and will work the first time,

I NEED YOUR HELP!
Under The Asus WLAN Card Setting
Click on Config on the left side.
Basic Tab:
Network Type:Infrastructure
Network Name:default
Channel : 1
Encryption Tab:
Network Authentication: Open
Data Encrption: Disabled
Soft AP Tab:
Check The Soft AP Mode
Check To Enable The ICS
Access Control Tab:
Access Control Policy: Accept
Access Control List: This is were you input your mac address of your DS found under Nintendo WFC Settings,Options,System Information there you'll find your Mac Address 00-00-00-00-00-00 eg. Just note this is were you would input additional hardware addresses as well ( PSP, Laptop Eg.). Then of coase you click add. Now you'll see that same address under the list of Mac Addresses Allowed To Be On The Network.
Now go back to the basic tab and click on advanced make sure under the 54g Mode its 802.11b only. All the other settings should not to be touched. But if you want to know here's what mine are set to.
RTS Threshold: 2347
Fragmentation Threshold: 2347
Preamble Mode: Long
Frame Bursting: Disabled
54g Mode: 802.11b only
54g Protection: Auto
Use Short Slot Time: Disabled
Important after making any adjustments to click on OK on the bottom left before closing tab.
Ok try your DS by going into nintendo WFC, then nintendo WFC Settings,Nintendo WiFi Connectin Settings. Erase all previous settings. Now pick a connection 1,2 or 3 now search for access point, after a few moments it should come up with a screen showing a default connection thats unlocked and a signal, Click OK. It will show a new Connection 2 Settings screen press OK again and it will set up your DS connection for you. After its done it should say connection successful and then go back to the Connection setup screen. Now just back out and your ready to Play. If you wanted to go into the connection setup screen again ,you'll see that the connection you choose has changed the erase settings to yellow from white meaning its saved. Now Go Have Fun !!!!
Any problems I'll try to help you figure it out.

When you put your usb wifi in does windows ask you to install new hardware at this point does it point to the nintendo drivers if so you should have the option to direct it to the driver folder.

I know you've done this but make sure you have totally removed all the nintendo files and folders as this is why your problem persists. Also when you add the drives in the folder are you removing the other driver as in the directions.
