The card settings sould be open . Go back into your network settings and right click on your wireless network connections. Click on properties and this will bring up your wireless network properties in here you should see a menu, move the menu till you see network protocol, highlight this then click on the properties in this menu. In the next window you will find your wifi connections "IP"(192.168.0.1) or what ever the number is. Write this number down and also make note of the subnet mask as well. Close the windows and now you can set up your DS .
SSID.....DEFAULT
AUTO IP NO
IP ADDRESS 192.168.0.2 my nintendo ip is 192.168.0.1 found under internet protocol properties, notice I just changed the last number by going up 1
SUBNET MASK WILL BE FOUND IN THE SAME SPOT MUST BE THE SAME.
GATEWAY Same as your nintendo connector (IP)192.168.0.1 LIKE MINE
Auto obtain DNS NO
Primary DNS Same as Gateway and nintendo connector
Secondary DNS 0.0.0.0
Under card settings.....
Network OPEN
Data Encrytion DISABLED
Network name DEFAULT

Hello again I was trying to figure out your problem when I decided to start fresh with the DS . I left my settings the same in the #1 spot but tested a new connection on the 3rd spot using auto search mode and what do you know it worked. So knowing this I erased all my connections in the DS and try'd again using spot #1 and again no problem. So give this a try if it don't work the problem is with your network connection settings. I'm not running any bridge and don't think this is a nessasary step.

The other thing I thought of is
Remember to put your mac address of the DS into your access control, under asus wlan card settings

See I have my psp a DS and my daughter has a DS as well and if their mac address's are not in the accept control panel you have no access, however you can test the connection and it will say its good but will not let you on once you try to play. I think what I'm going to do is right a much more simpler way with more detail, not saying the other way shouldn't work but there seems to be alot of ?'s if your not use to opening certain files. But double check as you should have your mac address accepted or else it must be disabled and allowing all to use your connection!

Your running a disabled access point alowing all to use your connection, not bad if you live in a remote place but if you live in a city /town then I would change that to accept and enter your mac address for these (psp/DS). Yes it will work but not a secuere connection.

but you have to remember the NWUSBC's range of wifi sucks.
so if someone wanted to steal my connection they would have to be right in front of my house.

Hi,
I dont think its the wireless settings on the pc i think its the settings on the ds itself.
I have entered the mac address and still no go.
Can someone please run through the settings for manually entering on the ds step by step.

Your right there but my PSP can get about 40 to 50 feet away depending on weather conditions. Sill why wouldn't you set it up secure. I'm not sure how a laptop would receive this connection as it would have a much wider range. See the connection depends on what your using to receive and tranmit back to the wifi connector.

Are you still running a bridge connection? As I wrote before after all settings on the computer are right you can use auto settings on the DS.

Hi,
Yes all settings are correct on pc.
I am not bridging any connection.
sharing should be selected on my internet connection yes?
I erased the manual settings from my ds but it says on the ds "no access point within range".
If i go into mario kart and select wifi match again it says "no compatabile access point within range".
Please help.

Hi,
Just a thought.
Maybe the mac address i have on the ds will not work with the hack as it was made using mario kart ds.
Should i delete it and try again or should it work with that mac address?
Cheers Shane
