so............
the box still isn't communicating with my p.c.
i got the boxes ip address from network settings on my pc, then put this new ip address into filezilla.
when i click on connect it doesn't get a reply from the box !!!!!
there must be a way to force a connection with the box to erase a bad image !!
commando 9 sux
any suggestions will be attempted with vigour

Sportster Pro 1.10 RC11
Hi everybody! This is my first post!!!
I have a Nokia dbox2 and i flashed the latest sportster image which is 1.10 RC11. I have my cables.xml, services.xml and keys etc but i can't get it to work. I think the problem is that the cam menu doesn't have evocam there so i can't select it. I know that this image hasn't been fully modded for UK/Ireland but does anyone know what needs to be done to get evocam installed??

Can anyone help, when I transfer Commando9 to my temp folder I then go Dbox/service/etc to flash without bootloader when I get to that section there is nothing in the file to select so I cant flash it.

When you flash new image - dbox gets a new IP address. Get new adress from Network settings in Dbox..
cannot open network settings !!

when i pinged this ip address all good no lost packet but .....
when i tried to connect using both filezilla and dnupman the box will not communicate with my pc, therefore the pc send a signal and waits for a rply eventually it times out !!!
anyone ???

I had the same problem yesterday when I flashed with Commando 9..
Make sure all firewalls and virus protection are off, then check your Dbox + Main Menu + Settings + Network.. Change your dbox IP to what it used to be with previous image.. And then FTP in like before.. Thats the way it worked for me..

If you have a null modem(essential)cable -
Flash image via Dreamup : it forces a connection and sets your IP at 192.168.1.100 - at least it did so for me on two different boxes. Good luck!

Guys.....thanks for all the great help so far.....I'm nearly there but need a little bit more help!
I managed to flash commando 9 and have most of channels back. However, some channels including some movie channels coming up not available and a lot of other very choppy sound and picture including the irish ones. Anybody any ideas or have similar problem????? On the home stretch now I hope!

Have andromeda 2 flashed onto my d box 2 (nokia) but put on this morning and only have rte 2 and tv3 etc. has auto update on it etc.. any ideas.. tried a re scan but cable prov is kabel deutchland.. how do i change it to cable.ie.. maybe thats the prob..

Good to hear. Just so people know, it can take up to 10mins before channels get decoded from a "fresh flash". This has always been the case if you flash on an image with old keys. The way keys are rolling almost all images will have out of date keys. Turn to rte2 to verify you are getting a signal in. Then turn to rte1 and WAIT.
I have put my image on a lot of boxes, only 3 people said it didn't work, in every case they simply did not wait for channels to come back. The channels went and they switched off.
Xenafan has now released 2 files so gbox is easy to update. It copies your keylist.txt into the nagra file used by gbox.
So people with chirpy sagems just turn to evocam, let it update, then run this simple function from the menu, reboot and turn to gbox and it will work fine upon subsequent reboots, until the keys roll again. In which case turn to evocam again.

Are you sure you have the 00 and 01 correct. There is a zero after the 7, on a recent key roll many posted this as a capital o, if this was entered the code would not work,people may have cut & pasted.
And WAIT for the channels to come in.
There are 2 big problems now, people have gone and rescanned messing up their channel lists, and people just refuse to wait for the new channels to come in. This is happening with NTL subbed boxes too, if they are not on during a roll you have to wait for the channels to decode again.
