That's what I have been using for over a year now, the R300 I purchased there.
I've printed over 1,000 shipping labels with it and 100's of DVDs and CDs plus many photos.
I'm on my 5th or 6th set of color cartridges and used even more of the black cartridges.
I've never had a single problem with it.
I purchased a refurbished scanner too, works great, no problems there either.
Couldn't tell either one of them from new when they arrived other than the brown box packaging.

Refurbished doesn't mean there was a problem with the product and it was returned for repair.
It could have been an open box store return that was never hooked up or used.
If the original box was damaged in shipping but not the contents it's repackaged and sold as refurbished.
The price even includes the shipping, $69.00 is all you pay.

If you purchase all 6 ink carts form Epson online it's $64.74 with their $3.00 shipping. You get 6 new Epson carts with the printer for only $4.26 more than the carts alone. It costs more than that to ship you the printer.

All I was saying was that what you were getting was not NEW! I didn't say it wouldn't work well just that it was refurbished. Just a marketing word for USED! The price is indeed right.

Thank you Newbious. I never buy refurbished products, but that is a good deal and worth the chance. I just ordered one.

Very few of the products that are sold as refurbished are actually used.

I purchased a refurbished gas powered auger to redo my fence.
It cost about the same as the used units were selling for on ebay but the refurb came with a 90 day warranty unlike the sold AS-IS on ebay.
When it arrived in a retail box it looked new and I burnt the new off of it the first time I ran it.
I saved over $100.00 over the cost of a new one but also know I can sell it on ebay for used for what I paid for it, I'll get all my money back on the deal.
Better than paying rental on one, I can take my time and not have to hurry due to rental fees.
Sometimes it just pays to be lazy and take your time.

as far as what media to use. hub printable TY's or VERBS cant go wrong.. i just got 50 8x+r hub printable verbs from newegg.com for 12.99 plus $3 shipping took about 2 1/2 days to get them.
i am looking at those 8x-r hub printable TY's that supermediastore has. ya can get 200 of the for 61.99 shipped. but that sale ends the 16th of this month

I used a Lexmark for a few years.
I print lots of shipping labels and only used the black cart.
It could be refilled until the nozzles would just no lomger work, about 6 refills.
The Lexmark cart was much bigger than the Epson cart and I got a lot more pages from a full cart.
The black refill kit was about $15.00 or so which made it cheap to use, got about 6 refills out of it.
About the time the refill kit was gone the cart gave up.
The carts for the Epson are cheap too but you can't use just a black cart, you have to have all the color carts with no empties so it will print.
I always select black ink only and that's all I may use for a month or more but the ink level on the color carts goes down even though I haven't printed anything in color.
Once a color cart runs out it has to be replaced so the printer will print.
That's the biggest gripe I have about the Epson R300.

i have been told by a few that the black cart will run out before the colors will. which makes sence, you use black in everything. you will use about 1 1/2 black to 1 color....i think it was at rima.com or meritline.com not sure, you can get 6 sets of 6(36 cart) for 36 buck when ya catch them on sale. and thats RIDISC brand ink not the epson name brand. the RIDISC ink is just as reliable

well im still happily on my very first set of carts so i dont know yet but looking at the gauges im at a little better than half on all but the black and just below half on it.

ive been told buy a few that they only use there epson just for printing to disc and they get a boat load of disc printing on one set of carts...
myself so far i have printed about 18 disc and maybe 6 full dvd case covers and 12 or spine covers for the slim dvd cases. if i would have done that with my lexmark i would have been well into my second set of carts..... i cant complain at all about this epson r320....
other than its so simple to use i havent ready the manual about what all i can do with it..lol

My ink consumption is fairly even. I'm on my 5th full set-which 4 of them are very low and I had to break open the black and yellow of the 6th set- last of my private.abacus generic ink. I had a bad cart on the last yellow-kept printing in blue-but you could hear the ink sloshing when shaking the yellow cart.

I did quit doing the case covers which hogged a lot of ink,but looked like original.

I got 2 sets from supermediastore.com. Anybody using their generic ink?

A guy I work with uses the same epson cartridges and got a hold of some that had the black plastic and had major issues with it. I've been using beige plastic carts with no trouble.Something about the ink eating away that type of plastic. He offered to give them to me.

Anybody else having problems with the black plastic ink carts?

I haven't used sms.com inks, but I have used abacus and meritline compats. Both are excellent. The inks from Meritline are RiDisc.... I caught the 36 for $35.99 sale right after abacus increased their prices... I only use my R200 for discs and my HP 2600n for covers and other everyday printing...

I found a link to the file. I also found a bit torrent for it.
I installed it and it works great. It does however take about 3-5 minutes to load the install files once you start the program.

http://www.box.net/public/hosirbsvex

The bit torrent name is "Epson PrintCD English Takes 5 Minutes to Install .rar"

I also found it using Limewire with the same name.

One of the reasons you run of of yellow so fast it's used to make a lot of oloprs other than Blue and red. All the greens and orage hues plus the yellow it self. JM2C
