No. Its more likely that 2 games with those elf numbers have the exact same disc id.
They dont change as often as just 0.10 digits, usually approx every 1.00
ie: SLUS_213.27 has the same id as any other elf number up to around SLUS_214.27
However, thats not always the case, and there's a bit more involved if you want to get a working id 95% of the time as I do. (I used to have a 100% record, until some recent releases)
Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

Hey guys. I've been burning and playing games for years now. But I've always wanted to play online. So many people have said yes you can, and so many have said no. I was reading the initial post, and I am happy to hear that there is a way. However, I have 2 questions for anyone who can answer:
1) Aside from the 2 Socom games, does this DN@ method generally work?
2) If I were to buy an online adapter from lets say, EB games, do you think I would be able to return it if this method for some reason didn't work?
Thanks in advance!

This method does works... all games on this list besides socom 2 and 3 and toca 2 and 3 work... but yes if you bought one from EBgames and it doesnt work.. you can return it for another one or cash back... but the only reason it wouldnt work is if you cannot disable your chip.. or your chip just isn't compatable.. but always works with swap magic.

Thanks. I got my chip at some chinese mall. I'm not sure what type it is. How would I "disable" this chip? Do I need to "disable" in order to play online burned games when using the Windip patching tool? Thanks in advance, I'm a total noob to this stuff, but I do know how to back, read, write, all that stuff. By the way, there is a lot of talk about this backupscene.com. I visited it and I can't find where the SLUS numbers are given. Can anyone help me out here? Oh and also, how do you find out the SLUS/SLES number?

You don't need to disable your chip when playing backups online, only originals.
Once a backup is patched with DNA$, it no longer detects the chip.
As for your Q about SLUS/SLES numbers, I've already answered that at backupscene.

Of course you can play store bought games online, I see no reason why you couldn't.
