Hey guys. I got "Champions of Norrath" DVD9 image. I got the .ISO and the .MDS files.

My 2 questions are as follows.

1- Which file should I open and patch with windip 1.7?
2- Being a DVD9 game (7.74gb), will it damage the game by patching it?

Thanks.

patching it won't damage your game. all it does is add numbers onto your image..

you are supposed to patch the iso

last. i think you might have to rebuild your game because its too big.

the last DVD-9 disc with online wouldn't work online, rebuilt or not.
(midnight club 3 dub edition remix)

and i think you need a chip to boot DVD-9 disc.

i hope i helped.

I dont need to rebuild the DVD9 game, simply because:
1- I have double layer Verbatim DVD+R 8.5gb dvds , and I have been previously succesfully burnt "God of War" and other fulldvd9 games.
2- My PS2 supports DVD9 backups (cause of my chip).

Well, I patched the second game, namely, "Champions: Return to Arms" just to test the online capabilities (Have the newest slim PS2, 75001 or v14, and never tried online play).

So I patched it with these values:
-- -- 03 30 7C

Did I apply the values correctly?

I also configured my PS2 network connection and tested it several times, works perfect.

Then when I boot the game and choose "internet game", it gives me this -603 "connection time-out" error. And it says to "try again later".

Did I patch the game wrong?

you used windip then yes.. um edit those values on the forum so it doesn't show what you put in. but yes it should have worked. try changing the dnas using ps2nfo method.. it takes some time but it might be the problem within windip. but as far as that goes im not sure about the whole DVD-9 thing..

What's the SLUS number? Open the disc/iso with IsoBuster & look for that file, or if you have the original it'll be on the box spine & the disc.

It does work because I was JUST online like 5 minutes ago. Try and use lower letters and numbers for your XX. What did you use to patch the .iso?

I used A2, B3, and i used Image Patcher from Ps2nfo.com then burned it with imgBURN, it is not working 100 %. Its not my connection or anyting cause i was just playing fifa 06 world cup back up online.

If you claim it works then tell exactly what you did and dont leave anything out.

Thanks.

Sure thing, I took the .iso file and patched it with WinDip 1.7 with the XX XX 01 30 DC (thats zero one, three zero)
Then I burned the .iso file with DVD Decrypter at 8x (I use Sony DVD+R 16x discs booktyped to DVD-ROM. That's all I did, and it works perfectly online. I made my own Club called the Criminoles for all the straight playing FSU fans out there.
