I understand there are some people that are not completely happy with it. But that goes with just about anything in general.
There are lots of things in this world that are promoted 100% satisfaction but we all know there's no such thing.
What I'm saying is yes if you choose to use Game Copy Pro it will do exactly as advertised (copy any game) the one down fall with this software is that it's not very user friendly and there are some points of the program that a customer that isn't that computer savvy might seem irritated with.
To sum it all up, the software works and if you read the instructions entirely through before acting upon them you will successfully create backups of your original games.

In actuality you are all right. I was/am a big part of why aD has such a great console section and I take these forums pretty personally, well most of them that is....since I can't possibly check every thread and know about everything related to every console from DS to 360.
The main things I just can't tolerate is when people
1) Try to advertise freely on aD's dime
2) People falsely promote something they possibly have a stake in
3) "Get this for free" crap...while I do know they work it's still just a pyramid scheme and someone always loses in the end
4) This VS That...while I have partaken in some of these threads and even added fuel to the "flame" I believe aD is unlike MANY other places that are ONLY about arguments and hype (example: MaxConsole though I post there a little too)
But I would also like for everyone to understand that without you guys (regulars, members and such) aD would not be what it is today and for the future. We all (moderators, admins etc.) do our best to make this place unlike any other out there and in my opinion I haven't found another like us that covers such a broad spectrum of information, tutorials, help and more.

I must say you do quite a good job moderating the PS3 forum Oner,some other forums on Afterdawn arnt looked after in quite the same way.

i must agree. aD has to be my favorite forum cause everything is so clean cut because of the great mods! When there's spam or trash talk, it's quickly taken care of.

That is bad business when someone has to pay for free information,although if they are too lazy to search the answers out themselves then maybe they should get ripped off.Just my opinion and I agree it is false advertisement,but if a person gets convinced by a product such as this then I hold them just as responsible for buying into it.The program supplies free information that the public can obtain themselves,so I would consider it a scam.Oner your a good moderator bro,and afterdawn is a good site.

Okay...to clarify everything. GAME COPY PRO IS A SCAM!!! No questions ask. Please do not be fool by their false advertisement and so what not. Take it from me...I AM THE FOOL that BOUGHT IT.

Now onto what is GAME COPY PRO?
GAME COPY PRO is NOT a software.
Yes it is not a software. You will not download anything after the purchased of the product. What it does is let you access a stupid website that compiles a whole bunch of sh*t that you probably already know if you are trying to copy any type of game or DVD movies. The DVD copies they will link you to is DVD Decrypter...something that Oner had already mentioned...it is free.
Most of their "how to" files are copy protected meaning that its taken off their website due to infringement. All other methods of copying is either ripped off from the original writer and posted there, or linked directly to them.
Download free games for your consoles?
Yes download them...but from a torrent p2p only. It is not a working game file until you ripped/burned to a dvd, cd, or dvd dl. Then it is only a copy and will not work on your console because your console is patched to detect copies. What it means by download and play is it gives you a compilation of emulators for your PC. Everything except your next generation consoles emulators.
Their website will auto update to always make it seem like their product is going to raise back up to 69 dollars by saying that the sale for 29.99 is expired at midnight on the day you visit their site. So if you check their website today 01/19/08, it will say promotion sale is expected to expire midnight at 01/19/08. Check it out tomorrow and it will say expected sales to expire is 01/20/08. This gives you a sense of saving if you buy now...another marketing scam skill by GAME COPY PRO.
All in all, if it's too good to be true, then it is exactly that. So please let one brave fool fall into the trap so that the rest can see it's a trap.

I unfortunatly bought game copy pro about 30 minutes ago. I began to realize as i searched the site that it was a scam. I searched the internet to find out more about game copy pro and i found this forum. So to add to this discussion, yes game copy pro is a scam. I used paypal but i cannot figure out how to get my money back. If anyone knows how to get money back please help!!!

This is what I did yesterday to get a refund. I won't know until it clears my paypal account in 5 days. Go to paypal resolution center, click tutorials, and open dispute. Type in your dispute, and you should get a response from clickbank the next day stating you've been refunded. That is what happened with me. Good luck!

You guys are not alone. I too feel into the game copy pro scam trap.
I didn't do any reaserches on this software. I just got to excited about a so called game copy pro software. I bought it with out thinking.
Luckly. I was able to get a refund from clickbank and clickbank also sent the seller of game copy pro an email on my behalf.
clickbank told me, it will take up to 5 buisness days for the refund to appear on my card. So I will be keeping an eye on the refund.
Just like the other poster. After I bought the program I found this site.
then I did a little reaserch on game copy pro on google.com
Most of the so called reviews of game copy pro, are done by the same people.
I was also able to manage to get some useful information. after doing a little digging up on google.

I got my refund back about a day or two ago. Thankfully, Clickbank was no hassle. I just hope others find this forum before falling into the scam.

I am glad, you where able to get your refund from clickbank.
Now I can rest easy knowing someone actually got there refund.
When I contacted game copy pro, and didnt recieve any customer support at all I knew then it was a huge scam .As most software companies contact you with in minutes, or with in an hour.
So I did a lot of researching just incase I had to get in touch with my better business beureau in my area.While I was doing the research. I found where the seller is registered under, and I was able to dig up the sellers name, phone number, and address. Just incase I needed to contact my better business beureau and nail him with the scam. I am one those people, once you scam me, I will get you hard if I have to but, maybe I wont have to contact my better business beureau since you where able to get your refund.

I can't believe that a company (or group of losers is probably the better word) can still be up and running. I think I remember bumping into their site a while back and had a feeling it was a scam or at least software that didn't live up to advertising claim.
When I torrent search a software and get no returns... I smell a rat!
Now I know the full extent of their scam, I can't help but feel anger towards them. I just had a good look at their site. They even have testimonials (obviously fake).
If you read their advertising words carefully, you can see they twist words all through their site. They give it a version number making you THINK it is software but they only give you information as vyang02 said.
Lines like this are all through their site... "Game Copy Pro now includes information on how to play all of your favorite games on you PC, no console, or mod chip needed!"
See... Most people will see "no mod chip needed" but if you read the above sentence more carefully it really means they will show you how to use an emulator on your PC... Duh! Like we need to pay for a tutorial on that!
This really concerns me as I wonder if legally they can be stopped. They have used their words quite cunningly and are preying on novices.
