so in actuallity...this program is useless now...the only thing i would see that it would be good for is modding...reason being is that when you backup the games on you ps3 HD...there hasnt been a way found to fxp the game to your computer...i was not capible of copying to a flash drive either...but still...how would you get it back on the ps3...wont play backups...useless...

When THAT little fact actually sunk in, thats when I googled "GameCopyPro" and found this site. Anyways...good luck to everyone trying to get their coin back.

I have Game Copy Pro 2008 and it does not work! Ihave been trying to get it to work for about 2 weeks and it will start the copy sequence but about half way through the process it gives you a cyclic redudancy check error. I have downloaded software to overcome this but it still brings up the same error.

Game Copy Pro
Typical SCAM website!
$30.00USD - DO NOT PAY IT!
My wife mentioned this software to me one night after looking at ways to mod an Xbox 360 - and since I have been into tracking scams for many years, and knowing what to look for I decided to take a look into this matter.
Game Pro Copy's website does give the impression that its software can copy anything. I downloaded a copy of their so called software (no I did not purchase it, and I would not recommend anyone else to either). On many websites you will come across reviews stating that it is 100% guaranteed to work, but these reviews are posted by people that are promoting Game Copy Pro under an affiliate program, and just want you to purchase it so they make money from the MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) scheme. On reading their ebook (yes, that's all it is!), they have just put together some text, images and links to websites where you can get some of the software from. Whoever wrote the ebook, didn't use a spell-checker, their are many mistakes - another unprofessional approach.
But read their FAQ section and things aren't what they seem.
Quote: What game consoles does your software support?
Quote: Game Copy Pro includes information and hacking tools for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Gamecube, PSP, Nintendo DS, Playstation, PS One, PS2, Xbox, Dreamcast, and Game Boy/GameBoy Advanced!
From this statement, we can see that their 'so-called' software is not actually software, but information. This is a big difference, and all the information within this eBook is freely available on the internet.
Quote: Is Game Copy Pro compatible worldwide?
Quote: Game Copy Pro is fully compatible with all versions of gaming consoles.
Well this is the worst statement they can make - no software is cross-console compatible!!! But wait Game Copy Pro is an eBook, and does not load onto any console, it's purely for a computer and nothing else.
Overall, it looks like a few guys have put this scam together - judging by the site design. A few more details reveal that their site hosting is shared (probably very cheap), they used a 3rd party domain registration company, and have set their WHOIS LOOKUP information to private. Most legit companies do not hide these details unless they do not want to be found easily.
They also show awards that they have been rated 5 stars for their software - since these images are not hyperlinked to any website that shows information that they have been awarded these legitimately, we can only assume they are not recognized at all.

XtremeOne

I'm a strong promoter that stands by his product. I believe in my product.
I understand there are some people that are not completely happy with it. But that goes with just about anything in general.
There are lots of things in this world that are promoted 100% satisfaction but we all know there's no such thing.
What I'm saying is yes if you choose to use scam name removed it will do exactly as advertised (copy any game) the one down fall with this software is that it's not very user friendly and there are some points of the program that a customer that isn't that computer savvy might seem irritated with.
To sum it all up, the software works and if you read the instructions entirely though before acting upon them you will successfully create backups of your original games. Visit my review here
Im so happy that guy is banned.
No one can give you wiser advise than yourself.

Yeah I was unfortunate to fall into the GameCopyPro scam myself. Fortunately Click Bank issued me a complete refund rather quickly. The number, in case anyone else would like it is 1-208-345-4245. Apparently they KNOW it's a scam cause I got my refund with no questions asked. Seems as if they know it's a scam why don't THEY report it themselves?

Seems that a petition to shutdown this site would be an idea. Where could one go to start such a thing?
I know going to your local BBB (Better Business Bureau) site would be one, but there is also the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) which also has a complaint process.

LMAO at all the people here whining about getting "scammed" out of $29 in their quest to steal unlimited copyrighted games.
Now before anyone starts BSing about "I just want to back up my games" let me clarify. I'm as black market as the next guy but if someone "gets" me playing my own game I have to see the irony in it and give a little kudos. After all most of us aren't that easy to fool. Of course I would try to get my money back. That's part of the learning curve and the game itself.
I was really laughing about the thief who said "I can't stand a liar"
Come on guys lighten up, you have to see the humor in all this?

There is no humor when someone is bluntly stealing peoples money in a fake program.Sorry, but I fail to see where the humor is. Most people on here only want to back up there games. It isnt illegal for us to back our own games up.But it is illegal to sell, or give away backed up games, and very illegal to scam.So really where do we find the humor in the game copy pro? No where.

I think the point he (she?) tried to make is that those that got it hoping for an easy way to steal games found ironic justice, instead.
I'm all for backing up games (heck, I've got a Xenogears game that's barely managed to stay alive after all these years), but I also see the humor in that type of irony.
The only problem comes when people (like the core population here) who genuinely want to back up their games get taken in by these ploys.

Apparently for those of us in Europe, it is now illegal for us to even create a backup of anything for our own use! Believe the copyright act was updated in 2003.
