Hmm, I'm not pressing the issue of backing up OR copying games. I was looking for a viable alternative to backup my sons xbox 360 games. With game prices these days it's not illegal for your home personal use.
The issue is when someone leads you to believe that a product can attain miracles that others cannot and turns out to be a hoax. I admit, had I researched it further I may not have fallen into the game copy pro scam like hundreds of others have.
I find no humor in someone intentionally advertising a 'fake' product that is meant for the purpose of stealing money from you.

For the record, I absolutely agree. I have 4 kids and over the years we have accumulated dozens of Xbox disks (mostly originals I might add, which is rare). Theory has it that they should be returned to their case after each use, but they don't, and over the months/years quite a few are now damaged beyong repair. I was looking for a way to backup the multiple remaining disks. Still don't have it so I guess it's back to enforcing proper storage (not a bad thing, just hard and a potentially expensive risk). Have a nice day...

I too have downloaded Game Copy Pro , and have found out that it is a fraud. Basically it is a glorified text file, telling you how to copy different console games. I have also used RawDump 2.0 to copy wii discs, and have loaded them successfully without a mod chip. Thats right, no mod chip needed. I have all of the programs needed to install the homebrew package and the package needed to boot copys from the homebrew package. Note that this is all backups of originals that I own.

You can add my name to the list of fools! I wish I saw this thread before I bought it. It was only after I didn't get any software, and no tech response, that I really started digging. There is a lot of positive out there on this but not a lot of truth. IT IS A SCAM! Just like all the other posts here say. I've contacted my credit card company to stop the payment. We'll see how it goes. Don't be a fool, save your $30!

erm.. cant u get it then report it to ur credit card company and they will claim ur money abck right?
not sure on the process but im sure you can even sue for misleading information...

I would just like to say a big thank you to afterdawn.com and to all on the thread about gamecopy pro, I was mins away of falling for the scam but came across your site and you saved me 29.00 dollars not a lot but many mqany thanks

I have to say many thanks to "after dawn"as I was almost sucked into buying "gamecopypro"and found this site just in time.Is there any way we can give these bastards the publicity they deserve?

I have reported there website too the online fraud sites.
I maybe also in the mist of creating a website aimed at websites that rip people off.
I am sick of getting ripped off and I feel these places like game copy pro need to be shut down.

Everyone is trying but no one wants to listen or do anything about it, even the company that handles their money transfers clearly knows its a scam because they'll give you a refund no questions asked usually.

I would like to know if anyone has a phone number to contact this suppose company or a number that I can contact were the money goes too, considering my information is in this company and I had no clue what it was until I look online and find two charges on 02/01/2009 to my account in the amount of $29.99 and $29.99 which totals $59.98 to my bank account and have no clue what they were. I am filing fraud charges but I have a feeling that this company is involved in it too. Please respond anyone that may have information

So I though i'd look up their whois, too bad he's learnt from his previous mistake, he's made his whois for CopyThatGame.com private :P

Hi ppl, took a while but i read the entire forum thread, wow, gamecopy pro is a major scam. I just wanna point out something technical, Xbox360 game discs dont read in pc dvd drives properly, they cant read a certain section where the SS key is burnt, so it would be a coaster disc if ur 360 is not chipped, but if it's chipped, join the 360 drive with sata to ur pc and read it off that, there's plenty of copy programs out there.
Gamecopy pro is JUST A SCAM!
If it's broken..... fix it or .... nah just fix it.

LOL They probably made that site because I reported them as fraud to serveral online websites that handles fraudly websites and who knows others may have reported them as well.

I was also foolish enough to fall into this scam. I contacted Click Bank at 1-208-345-4245 and they refunded my money. They seem to be familiar with Game Copy Pro. Be sure you have the transaction number from Click Bank. It will be in their confirmation e-mail.
I told the guy at Click Bank that Game Copy Pro was a scam, but he told me that they actually do provide a service and it is not a scam, however, since they have a money-back guarantee, they would refund my money.

I happened upon it when I was doing a google search for it trying to see if was legit or not.

I'm 100% sure this is a scam i just paid $40 for copythatgame and all i got out of it was a free program called imgburn, DO NOT BUY THIS PROGRAM! I'v deffinetly learned my lesson and from now on i'm doing lots of research before i buy things over the internet.

I understand there are some people that are not completely happy with it. But that goes with just about anything in general.
There are lots of things in this world that are promoted 100% satisfaction but we all know there's no such thing.
What I'm saying is yes if you choose to use scam name removed it will do exactly as advertised (copy any game) the one down fall with this software is that it's not very user friendly and there are some points of the program that a customer that isn't that computer savvy might seem irritated with.
To sum it all up, the software works and if you read the instructions entirely though before acting upon them you will successfully create backups of your original games. Visit my review here
