If you want to update the new firmwa*e you need the null modem cable , the loader is built into it so when you click the middle download button it puts the file on without you havening to browse for it .......Oops

I cant do anything with the box and all that happens is two green lights appear on the front of the box when plugged in. This is the second box in a month to do this to me! I dont believe I have a clone. I have been looking around and a number of people seem to have had the same problem but nobody has a solution...anybody here got any ideas????
Happened to me Saturday night as well :( damn, sending it back to my supplier today

Rather than going through the whole process of clearing all your data and doing a power scan and then sorting all your channels again, just download an updated channel dump file to your box. You will find an updated CDF for Dublin called dub080907a.cdf in this link http://www.4shared.com/dir/3339467/5efeed13/sharing.html courtesy of Steo. Use voxer or dnupman with a null modem cable to download the new channel dump to your box.

Yes you do to download the firmware to the box, (put the box in standby).
Your laptop may not have a DB9 interface as most new ones dont. And so you will have to use a usb adapter in conjunction with the null modem cable.
Do not mix a USB to Serial adapter when its USB to Serial Port adapter that is required. You then have the required Port to connect the Null Modem Cable to.

Hi
I am having troubles to get a eurovox max red 2007 to work with choxxs.
I have downloaded the may firmware, reset to factory settings, scan at 6875, added chorus frequency manually and auto scan no joy.Power scan no joy. I have choxxs cable. The quality signal is around5.I had another eurovox ( it just died ) and it was working fine.
Any ideas?

Yes it is. ( it goes from 2% to 5%)
If I do a power scan, the signal is 90% and quality from 2 to 5.If I unplug the cable it is still signal 90%.

You are sure you have a live true cable feed. Please also connect the Eurovox directly into the incoming feed when updating the frequencies, take away any splitters.
Ch**** Frequencies
363.000 works 371.000 works
355.500 works 347.000 works
339.500 works 386.000 works
347.500 works 394.000 works
419.000 works 410.000 works
322.000 works 347.500 works
314.000 426.000
To add these frequencies you need to
1.Go to installation
2.Press green button for ch edit
3.Press red button add channel
4.Enter frequency and symbol rate 6875
5.Press ok, then repeat these steps till all freqs added. When they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu. Press the red button for auto scan. This will do a scan an all the frequencies entered and should hopefully give you 138 TV channels and the rest are radio.

You did follow this quote I have above on this page. When I say how many channels have you got I meant for both scrambled and FTA channels. I can tell you how to input the keys manually for C*****, I presume you have a live true cable feed.
