does anyone know how to "write" files on your desktop with either Nero or DVD Decrypter into an iso file on a disc? i only saw the feature to write it from a dvd disc, not from your desktop.

Having problems backing up Smackdown Vs Raw. I use verbatim DVD-R discs and burned at 1x with DVD Decrypter anyone know why my ps2 says invalid discs? I use swap magic and slide card 3.3 Is there a better speed to burn at? I've used 2x to burn a few and they work fine but was told I should burn at 1x.

Hi
you say that when you burn your verbatim disc's at 2x speed, they work fine,i am no expert at copying and disc burning, but hey if they work after being burned at 2x then go ahead and let it be ??

I started out burning with Memorex 8x dvd-r's and they dont work guess they're not very compatible with the ps2 laser was told to switch to verbatim and all copies have been good. Copied fantastic 4 but that doesnt work because it needs to be rebuilt. I use verbatim DVD-R 8x discs and burn with decrypter. Ur media might be why ur it doesnt load so fast I know when I tried the backed up games on the memorex discs they took forever too load or didnt load at all, or if they did load all they did was skip. Madden 2005 froze at the title screen. Resident evil outbreak froze after selecting my character.

Hi
I have read quite a lot in these forums and i can base some points on the burning speeds ? try burning on 1x speed and see how it goes and try going up in incrememnts of 1x and 2x and so until you get the right speed for your self ? it may take time but try also using a good branded make like T.D.K, i have read quite a few posts and the TDKs come up quite a lot ??

alright, I'm having some serious trouble making backups and I have no idea why.
I've got a PNP key and I use the swap magic disks. I tried copying manhunt for ps2 onto my hard drive with DVD Decrypter and then burning it onto a maxell 4x DVD-R. I both read and wrote the image at 1x speed. When I insert the dvd magic swap disk and it tells me to insert a disk I swap them (I'm 99% positive I installed my mod chip correctly becuase it does exactly what it's supposed to do as far as circumventing the eject signal) and then when I try to boot the disk it says that it's not a valid ps2 disk. How to I fix that?

no, you need to burn the image onto a DVD-R or a DVD-RW. And you need a mod chip, or a slide card with a swap magic disks.
Now will somebody please answer my question? (two posts before this one)

As far as I know the older ps2 version cant read dvd-rw's I've tried many times. Its pointless u need a dvd burn and a mod chip or swap magic to even atempt to play games. Dont waste ur time just spend the 30 bucks or so for swap magic.

I have a version 5 ps2, is this new enough?
Also, I'm able to get the game to boot now, however it still dosn't work like it's supposed to, the music skips and the games loads very slowly and frequently freezes for a few moments. I know that this is a writing error, but I don't see how it could be becuase I first used DVD Decrypter to load the image onto the hard drive, I did that at 1x, then I used Alcohol 120% to burn the image at 1.5x. I'm using sony 2x dvd-rw's, and I've got a U-30182-rv3 pacific digital dual format dvd burner. The only idea I have is that my dvd burner can't do it for some reason. What am I doing wrong? I know my ps2 dosn't have dmca protection becuase it's not an online game, so that's not it, this should work and it's getting very frustrating. Please help me I've been trying this nonstop for 3 days with no success

1,it doesnt really matter what speed you read it to the hardrive, its the burn speed that matters
2,burn @ x 4
3,dont use dvd-rw's,.....use a good quality DVD-R disk
