hey bird7 , how did you hack like that! that is cool, show me how, and by the way i do not have aol, i have a aol email, but i use netscape. anyway not to get off subject too much. about dvd decripter. so i understand that you pick the smaller mds file and decripter uses it to burn the iso, however, when useing another program to burn , like Nero or CopyToDVD you just pick the big iso file, right?

nope, burn the mds file, that links the burner to the bigger .iso file, the mds is just info about how to burn it, makes the process much easier for you.

Hi, i have horrible problem. I have been trying to back up my games for a week now and have only had 2 times when it worked. I am tring to burn kill zone. I have tried 2 discs, TDK and Melody both DVD+RW. I have tried DVD Decrypter and when i selected verify data, it came up with some error at the end like I/O error. The times it worked was when i used gamecloner and when i used Nero burning rom and selecting 'DVD COPY'. I use swap magic and it says 'invalid ps2 disc'. Please help me people!

Listen burning games could not be simpler.
1. Rip the game image to your HDD
2. Burn the game onto good media such as that manufactured by Taiyo Yuden at a reasonable speed
3. Some games such as GT4 cannot be burned
4. Boot the game with Swap Magic or a ModChip
Thats it!!

yea, i don't know why people use cheap dvdrs. i use taiyo yuden DVD-R 8x and they work great. when you spend 40 or 50 bucks on a game can you really complain when you need to back it up for a buck a disk. some people are cheap getting media at 30 or 40 cents a disk. cheap media does not pay off. if you want a game or movie copy to last for a long time don't go with cheap crap. get good stuff like yuden. from japan!

On the first page it has how to do it :)

You need DVD Decrypter and a dvd burner and good media.

1. Open DVD Decrypter with YOUR game in the dvd rom drive, Then go to MODE>ISO>READ and it will make an ISO on your harddrive, select where you want to put it and press the button with the picture of a DVD > a harddrive.

When thats done go to step two.

2. Now go to MODE>ISO>WRITE select your MDS file you just made and put in the blank DVD your DVD burner. Select the write speed and press the button with the pic of the harddrive>DVD, and then your done.

Then use your method of booting PS2 games to boot the backup :)

I am really confused here. I've burned loads of PS2 games but I have found that some games work, some don't. The ones that don't work display the initial Playstation 2 logo screen and after that the game doesn't play. Does anyone know the reason for this? Games that I have tried and haven't worked include: Destroy all humans, Silent Hill 4, fantastic 4 etc. Is this an NTSC PAL issue? or DNAS issue?
If so how should I correct the problem?

also, i think i backed up the game right. i used dvd decyripter to do everything, however, why in some other threads on this site, they say to use isobuster? do i need to do something with isobuster too?

hey, if any of you guys are having trouble with ps2 backups. Just get a SONY DVD+R, not RW. Then just use CloneCD and select Copy CD. Thats right, it works. Its just like DVD Decrypter because when CloneCD copies the disc, it makes an image, then burns it to da DVD. It works for ps2 DVD discs even tho its called CloneCD. Cheers. Hope this helps because i was struggling for weeks, then finally a break through.
