When trying to get online with NCAA 2007 my system locks up when I hit "x" to create an EA account. It then brings me to the red screen telling me to put in a PS2 compatible disk. Is there no way to create an online account with a backup? I've patched it with the DNAS code on the front page so everything else should be in order. Any help is appreciated.

What do you use to boot your games? Chip or SM discs?
And how big is the game on the disc?

I'm having trouble connecting with my NCAA 2007 backup with the DNAS codes posted here.
NCAA Football 07 (SLUS_214.59)
(Size = bytes)
Disc ID = XX XX 01 30 DC
I'm using A2 B3 01 30 DC, patching with WinDIP 1.7 and have burned copies with Alcohol 120% and DVD Decrypter. Here's the info on the image file after it has been patched-
'DNAS300.IMG;1' is PATCHED, it matches patch (300).
'DNAS300.IMG;1' is being scanned... PATCHED, unverified (Offset 0x0002AC1C).
'DNAS300.IMG;1' is being scanned... PATCHED, unverified (Offset 0x0002AC1C).
'IOPRP300.IMG;1' is being scanned... No match found.
Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?

I'm using sm 2.0. The game is roughly 2GB capacity. I've used DVD Loader once and it just locks me at the screen to create the account rather than giving me the "insert valid ps2 disk" screen, I'm just not sure if there's an option in dvd loader that i need to be using.

@mrbill210: Use lower values for the X's. Personally I never go any higher than 2X XX, strange that another member also used exactly the same 1st 2 sets as you! But A2 B3 is waaaaaay too high, especially for batch 01.
@Bluesman: Obviously you've gotten passed DNA$ verification, so that proves the ID works if used with the correct combination of X's. I would suggest creating an EA Login account with another EA online game, that way you can use the same account with any EA game & skip the part you're having problems with.

I have backed up my copy of MotoGP 4 "online version" and it plays great. Everything works just as my original does however, when I go to the "internet" option or the "network config" option from within the game, the playstation seems to reset, and i get the "please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc." message I am using the correct disk id from the list in the first post (not sure if that is the online version or not) does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

@TALONTSx - when you click 'network config' it launches the Sony PS2 Online Setup Utility and if your console is chipped it will load properly and boot back to the game correctly. But if you are using an SM disc it will not launch Sony PS2 Online Setup Utility and it will go to that Please insert disc screen.. Just use your original to run that option.

I figured that much myself, thanks for the tip _FuRiOuS_. My problem however, is that when I select the "internet" option it does the same thing. Is this game compatible to play "backed up" online?

Yes its compatible to play online with a backup. Try loading the game with one of the CDVDLoaders from www.swapmagicfix.com or use a different game (or your network setup disc) to set up a network configuration file.

Thanks ace1uk,let me give you a little more info as to whats going on here, I am using "cog swap" running off of the mem card exploit. I do not own swap magic, and if I'm not mistaken thats an alternative to the exploit and just provides the ability to stop the disc from spinning to allow you to change to a backup disc...correct? Basicly the same thing I'm doing just using a different way to get there. I already have a network configuration file that I use for Madden 06, and TOCA RD3 it works fine. It seems as though when the game trys to check for the network file it sends me to the red screen "please insert......disc" I also cannot create or save to the memory card a MotoGP 4 profile for gamespy ( I already have one of those too from TOCA RD3)but, it wont let me get to that screen. I know I've patched this game correctly, I just cant get to the point where it actually will check dn@s. Please help, I play online all the time, but my 10 month old daughter is destroying my original. And I believe I own a whole set of non-online coasters now!

if it gets stuck at the DNAS screen use lower number and better media... if you cannot make an account use your original to make an account or rent it if you downloaded the game without owning the original..

I have a Korean PS2 (NTSC-J). I would like to play US games online but I constantly get DNAS error 833 which i believe has something to do with the region. I read something here about changing your PS2 region. How can I do that?

@sho0tyz: You can get it from the downloads section of backupscene, accessable from the left-hand Nav Bar of the main page.
But it will only work with old 'fat' PS2's v1-v7/8.
@Bakuryu42: Use WinDIP.

It works better. Get WinDip 1.7... And this is supposed to be a DNAS thread, how come I keep seeing the same old questions?
