alright larry, you win. Although it's all relative really. I'm still enjoying my wiikey right now with no issues. I could care less whether they release an upgrade this week or next month. It wont fix what aint broke. Just my opinion anyway. I'd rather have a solid release vs an early beta release just cause some hose hound can't hold his wad. LOL

still no damn news!
what the hell is going on? i mean just what the hell is going on?
to reply to the dude that said he would delay it if he were a firmware guy at wiikey, would be a mistake which would result in the chip falling behind standard and other chips getting better which means you lose business.
and about the "around 15th" update, at least they could post on the site now and say there's been a delay, will only take a second to do.
do you guys think that there's a chance that this update can solve the bricked wii problem, which is caused by playing paper mario and other odd games?

Yes but the 19th release was from someone who ... "knows someone on the inside" along with posted pics of a firmware update..... for a car. Basically, it may come out on the 19th, but the person who 'released' that info is not a credible source. I tried to email the wiikey team like early yesterday, no response.

Or bad news.
I would think that they could pull themselves away from their coding long enough to say "new ETA (insert date)" on their site. Maybe they are doing nothing but coding and can't make a site update... who knows.

Bitching about it in here isn't going to get the update to you any quicker.
I am sure they are working on it as fast as they can. I doubt they are sitting around the table drinking tea and eating crumpets.
But again I guess it is good to let out your frustration some how.

I think they have some problems when testing the update and they don't know how important is the problem so they dont have any idea on when they could release it. I dont mind if it's next week or next month but it's not very professional to give a date and don't respect it. I fear about the update because it show that they dont' master their software.

If this chip did everything that it said it did, I wouldn't mind. But it doesn't. It almost does but no.
Built in audiofix my @$$!
Can't they just tell us what's going on?

Well, for one what i expect from the update is for them to make NTSC gamecube games directly bootable. Now i have to either use wiikey setup disk to manually load disks into NTSC, or in many cases play games with garbled, messed up sound and/or graphics (rogue squadron 2-3). Wii games so far work ok, but GC support sucks balls...

I hate to say it but everyone that is bitching about the update not out yet, why don't you guys write the program then. Just give them some time to get it 100% because I know I don't want to update the firmware if they don't have it working 100%.

This is from the Region Patcher Website under NTSC(J) to PAL
Below is the guide for Region Patcher's which can be used for Region Free Modchips...
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/index.php/Wii_Re...28USA.29_to_PAL
Unfortunately Wii Bleach is not compatible.
Plus this was on the Wiikey website this morning...
Update delays
Quite a few people have contacted us and expressed disappointment over that the update has not been released yet. We would like to apologize for this. Please bear in mind that development work always take time, and we are will post the update as soon as it is delivered to s by the developers.

@deadcell1 - There is no such thing as 100% in this...
About GC. I have Wii PAL and some NTSC games refuse to boot. All i get is black screen (or green in some occasions) if i try to boot directly.
What i do is i boot WiiKey setup disk and run GCOS to run games manually via PAL/NTSC/Progressive selector (Y button in my case fixes all the games) but its still annoying...
@larrylje - I wonder how many people really interested in JAP to NTSC/PAL... not unless you know hira/kata-kana :D

Evidently DavidRW is interested in them since he wants to play them. Plus for your information the 2 above games are only out for the NTSC(J) Console. Any other great words of wisdom?
Plus I think the majority above are not complaining about the region part of the Wiikey and Game Cube games. They want an Audio Fix for the Game Cube which has nothing to do with Video Modes.

I work daily with developers. This way of working is business as usual.
They are human too ,you know.
Try to focus more on the PR guy behind wiikey. He's the one failing the customers now. Seems like they got to install a CMS system behind their site ... .
What also could be is that PR people had set the date on the site ,in order to try and push the dev guys. (I've seen this practice before ...).
So please be gentle ,and have some patience ... good things always take time ... (I always tell this to my children too ;-) ...)
Greetzzz..
