OK this should work. Patch GOW2 ISO with Toxic Patcher. Now open ISO
Buster 1.9 and extract the raw data to folder that you create, just right click make new folder. After you open the image and extract to
a specified folder keep Iso Buster open. Note the order of the files.
Open your extracted folder click view then click list. Now create a second folder and open goto view click list. It makes the files small
so its easier to CUT and PASTE. Ok position both folders right next to each other and CUT and PASTE one file at a time according to the
way Iso Buster has them in order. Should be 15 files all together but
once you've done that you go up and click EDIT, Select All now that it is highlighted click and drag that window to the side and open a Disc Creator program like Roxio Media Creator 7,8, or 9. I used Creator Classic which is one of many programs in the Roxio Media Creator package. Anyways I clicked and dragged my highlighted GOW2
files over to Creator Classic, once loaded I goto the bottom of the
Creator Classic window and click the arrow that displays different
media like CD-R,DVD5,or DVD9 click DVD5 4.7GB then scan up to File,
and Save Project as GOW2 or any name will do and save it. Now burn
at 4X speed towards the end of the burn you'll see a error accessing a file but pay no mind it has to do with one of the dual layer patches but it burns all the way through. I have had no problems saving my game no freeze-ups or glitches. I've already beat the first Boss and acquired the Sword of Olympus and saved once again. If you try my method please reply to this post so that if there are glitches later on in the game I can regroup. Google for ISO Buster
1.9 then goto crackzplanet.com for the key generator. Just click on site results and nothing below because cracks.ws or serials.ws has adware and viruses so be careful not to click on those but anything under site results is ok and you have to have WinRAR and WinZIP to access these downloaded serials or cracks because they are archived.
Anyways good luck guys. Happy Hunting!!!

I don't think there is way to play the game on 1 disk with every file, or two disks. You have to remove something. Someone on another forum(not sure which) has ripped out the extras option and fit everything on one DVD5 disk.

would this work: after merging the part1+part2 What if you edited the TOC file to where all of the "part2" entries read "part1" then used expert2 to rebuild both the files and the TOC to fit on to a DVD5.
If so does anyone know how to edit the TOC file?
I have never tried to rebuild a game before but I think that this is a title that is worth trying it for.

I thought that is why they made it 2 discs, was so the extras were put on disc 2...oh well, I wouldn't mind a rebuild like this as long as the full game is playable and the extras aren't necessary, I just want to play the game as my modchip (old Magic 3) doesn't support DVD9.

No, they put the making the game and other videos on the Extra dvd. That can be played on a normal dvd player. I'm talking about the extras as in unlockable and such. Also, someone on another forum told me you CAN put it on two disks. I'm still trying to find out how to put the second layer's .pak file onto a dvd.

I have rebuilt the iso with part2.pak instead of part1.pak. This way I have part1.pak on one disk and part2.pak on another disk. I'm not sure if this will work, but it will be tested.

That WILL NOT WORK, par1.pak has info that is needed to get the game to boot in the first place.

I'm about to head back to school after spring break and I only take backups to school (I don't want roommates scratching it up).
What files should I rip to the computer so I can back up this game somehow later? Just rip the ISO using DVD Decrypter? About how big should it be?
Thanks.

I thought that the rebuild would be about 4.34GB or 4.35GB, so that means wait for Sonix GOW2 Patch with both layers
I use "Swapmagic3.8 Coder" the same as SwapMagic3.6 but SM3.8 has codes
I can confirm what you have, b/c i have the same thing. I think Sonix retired, since his site has been closed and there's no mention of his Sonix GOWII patch anywhere. =(
EDIT: I used Sonix GOWI tool, but it crashed upon extracting the TOC file. Same thing happened with the Munge-O-Matic tool.

Yeah it didn't work. I wasn't expecting it to. I was just rushing so when me and my friend almost beat the game, when he has to go home I can finish playing, but of course it didn't work.

Can anyone confirm if this game, God of War 2 will be released on a DVD 5?
Also I don't understand why this game is a DVD9 yet Final Fantasy 12 (a much bigger game, albeit compressed) was a DVD 5.

What kind of question is that??? Nobody can confirm anything, all we can do is keep trying and when it is done it is done.
@all
Of course munge o matic wont work, it was created for the GOW TOC and corresponding files, not GOW 2.
Hopefully an update soon
