It is also difficult to determine if the "error" is with Remake or RB?
How true!

I've dedicated most of my efforts with remake on removing trailers and it hasn't always been rewarding.

It's come to the point the only thing i take out is trailers and unwanted audio tracks. The more you mess with menu structure the more room for error. RB/CCE does such a good job that unless there are a few, I go ahead and leave them in now. Besides extras are becoming more and more entertaining.

I still use remake for other apps(IC 8 in particular) and I 'm getting ready to try it on a flipper disc combining the two sides and ending up with one menu using mackem x's guide. Wish me luck with that, talk about messing with menu structure!

Alas, Poor DvdReMake, I knew him well, LOL ;>)

GO VOLS !

I still use it, but now that jdobbs is on the edge of licking the multi angle problem it seems less important. Some of the new updates still have me loading and playing with it but it's mostly for experimentation. Like you said if there's no serious picture loss by keeping the extras then why not keep them.

That's the thing I'm finding...that there is less picture quality loss than I ever imagined. It's like I was suffering from a "transcoder hangover" where I still took every opportunity to reduce extras.

When I said decoders, I meant MPEG2Dec3dg.dll vs DGDecode.dll

Try an unedited Decrypter file and the latest versions of Rebuilder and Basic CCE.

You can tell us which applications you use and check your setup again. Just describing a problem without giving information doesn't give us much to work with.

The type of error you reported is often a result of improper setup. Buffer overflow suggests your system has difficulty keeping up with the rate of transfer. When was the last time you defragmented your hard disk?

I used to get this error a lot, but it went away after I made a few changes. And, it hasn't apeared in some time with newer versions of RB. If defragging doesn't work, I would suggest re-installing AviSynth 2.5.4, as well as the latest version of CCE Basic. If this doesn't work, a reformat and fresh install is probably the next best solution.
