hi paul have a dbox 2 but when flashing with ifa its saying eraseing sectors an goes from 1 to 63 then just stops an doesnt continue is this box nackered thanks mate

Can you FTP to the Box
How many times have you tried to flash it
Are you useing a null mowdem cable .........Paul

Help Needed!
Iv been trying to flash my dbox now for over a week with no luck. My laptop has a connection with the box but when i start the IFA a german error message appears.
Does anybody hav a English IFA so i can try and fix the errors?
Cant use FTP cause i cant determine the ip address of the box as my box is in german and it has no option to change it to english.
I would be greatful of any help!

The options should still be the same though mate
D box button
Option 5 = settings
Option 3 or 4 = network
Just have a fiddle Till you get some numbers starting 192 168
Lets know if not

think i have only used my null mowdem once in about three years mate
Never had a prob with just crossover
Do you want the english Ifa

Hi all,
ive got a nokia dbox2 about a year old. Some of the most recent dboxes have a channel which doesnt appear on my box - Its Alpha ETC.
Does my box need flashing, uploading with the latest image in order for me to receive this channel????

Just wanted to know do you have to update your software or image to get the newer channels on the dbox?
My box is about a year old and never been updated? Is it called flashing or image update? All i know is that it has sporster on it?

I got a dbox2 but couldnt get any channels.
I have managed to flash it using ifa and the sportster 106 image. I still cant get any channels it comes up with
"waiting for time"
i also tried a scan and now it shows a list of about 20 channels like blue movie and premiere sports still has "waiting for time" and "channel not available"
Does anyone know what is wrong?

try using hyper terminal(built into xp)...with just a null modem cable....
worked recently for me

hi everybody, can you help? I have updated to Commando8 and done a sca, I have got loads of chanels, but most of them I get no sound or picture. The boquets seem to have scanned OK also the EPG shows all the chanels and the progs and times they are on. I get a yellow key shown on the screen, has this anything to do with it? any help greatly appreciated,

Commando images have NO keys in them...
u must download the magic files (keys) from the usual places.
Then ftp your box and add them in the correct directory.
reboot
then bobs your uncle
