LOL Never had or seen a bad CPU in my life. Several with crushed cores though and my Q9450 which had stuck temp sensors but otherwise ran fine. Replaced it with my good old Q6600 though which was a great find anyway at the rare 1.25VID ;P
As far as ambient temps yeah they are important to me as well. Especially considering I'm running a first production run 940 from when they first released... Yeah 1.35VID plus current 1.45 = one hot puppy :P
If I had any sort of liquid loop I know this chip can do 3.9GHz with 1.55v. And considering it would be under liquid 1.55 would also be "kosher" lol.

Thank you, my Friend. I appreciate that. Don't forget though, I was 100% wrong about what I thought the case airflow would do without the Freezer 64. It took me about two seconds to realize I had forgotten about the Freezer 64's fan. It cools the VRMs. I did get a handle on the temps though! LOL!! This thing just runs so sweet at 3.9GHz.
I took your advice and lowered the HT Link Frequency to 2210MHz. It does perform slightly better that way. At the moment, I'm pretty pleased with how it's all worked out!
Best Regards,
Russ

I was going to say something about it as well. It makes your posts more effort to read, and it does generally pee me off, as well as Creaky. If you have a medical reason to write shorthand, write shorthand, don't just talk in textspeak.

It's an expression of sarcastic humour. There aren't really any words that replace it as an expression. When I write a sentence though, I make sure to use actual words.
You don't get charged per character writing a forum post as you might a text message on a phone, so there is no reason to use textspeak in a forum.

Could we all dispense with this inane BS and get this thread back on topic. No one should have been involved but Creaky (MOD) and Rick (Member), in the first place! Creaky asked Rick very nicely not to do it. At that point it should have become no one else's business.
Sam, I'm sorry, but you shouldn't have said a word. It was after the fact, and a Mod had already brought it up, and had specifically asked Rick not to do it. If you had been thinking of saying something, you should have done it before, not after Creaky asked him not to do it. I somehow don't think Creaky needs an assistant! It started out between Creaky and Rick, and it should have stayed that way IMO!

while i agree with you russ, creaky said it in public, on the forum, and not im a pm, so sam has a right to comment.

Russ, I entirely disagree, not only am I entitled to make a comment since as shaff says, this is in the public forum, but Rick was also, politely or otherwise, asking for a reason why he shouldn't use text speak. I considered it obvious as do the staff it seems, but I felt like offering an explanation in full. All you have done is try and make it look like you're the forum guardian, and that whenever someone gets a warning from a moderator, that it's your responsibility to stop other people from getting involved. Posts like that only incite another page about who should and shouldn't say what, we all know that from past experience. If your aim is for 'let that be that' then posting the message you just did is the worst possible thing you could have done.

No! That would be Woman! LOL!!
Take a look at what my little fan mod yielded for temps.
I have the Video card back in the 16x slot, where the motherboard was hitting 53C before, with the Freezer 64 in it. The 70mm fan taken from a new AMD CPU cooler, fits right in between the pump housing and the thumbscrews on the pump mount and blows air down over the entire Northbridge. I didn't even have to attach it with screws, it fits so snug. The pump housing blocks about 1/4 of the back side of the fan, but no noise, and it works great, as you can see. It's 27C ambient in here right now. I can see now, when using a water cooler like this, that local fans might be needed for hot spots like the chipset, inside the case.
The radiator cooling works great, and the sides and top and bottom tanks of the radiator are cool to the touch so there's no lingering heat inside the case from the radiator at all!
Best Regards,
Russ

Wonder how my temps would be affected if I switch to the Coolit cooler. My Ram temps would probably increase slightly, since heat is no doubt pulled from them. I imagine its a trivial amount though. I've never felt a hot ram module :p Or a warm one for that matter. The HAF932 does a pretty good job of cooling the overall system. It'll do even better when I go Quad 120mm's on the side!
No russ. Computers do what I want with no questions asked, no complaining/whining. Besides, there is no woman in this world or the next for me :( My standards are extremely high. For a reason...

Oman7,
The thing is, I doubt that you would need Quad 120mm fans in the first place using the CoolIt, as the vast majority of the heat goes out the back of the case. My ram is no warmer without the airflow from a conventional CPU cooler, barely luke warm to the touch, and my Ram is 2.1v!
