Thanks russ. I think i'll look for a more advanced model. Probably not today, but definitely one day. I just thought it interesting, to see the heat on a mainboard ;)

Take it easy Fred, just watch they don't nab you for Prime Minister when you get here, ours has just stepped down.
As to webcams, for the princely sum of £5 you can get very good quality webcams, PS2 Eyetoy cameras no less.
I'm busy enjoying my 512MB HD4650, it's transformed my PC, i can now finally play The Secret of Monkey Island properly, and Doom 3, Quake 4, neither of which i'd played before.

Thanks guys. Not really in need of a webcam, too shy for video chats. Heck, I can't even talk on the phone, let alone in person! I just thought the infrared capability was intriguing ;)

Wow rick! That's an incredible buy. Cameras have obviously become cheaper than I would have thought. I wish Canon would get that memo ;) They make some of the best cameras around.

The picture on that camera is OK, theirs no hesitation or stalling.
But for recording around the house and Internet, I prefer the E-Toy

Oman7,
This one is the best inexpensive webcams around. Micro$oft VX-3000.
http://www.dealpal.com/Microsoft-LifeCam...ite=google_base
The same Megapixels as the one I have, but with a much better picture. That's because of the infrared filter in mine. I wish I could remove it! I got the VX-3000 for my Friend Dave and his picture quality is much better than mine. no infrared though!
Newegg has it for about the same price, $29.99 w/free shipping

My Water cooling unit just came! It's even going to be easier to install than I thought. When you use the AMD Brackets, the pump orientation stays the same as with the Intel. I'll be installing it as soon as I get back from the office. I've got handpieces to repair first! Even with changing the fan to the Slipstream, it shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes at the most to install.
Oops, Ride's here!

Oman7,
They used to retail for $14.99, but became so popular that they raised the price as high as $33.99. I would rather not have the Infrared. The IR filter in the camera degrades the video! It's useful to see if a remote is working, by pointing it at the camera and pressing a button, but it has to be very dark to see the hot spots, and you can only get as close as when the IR LEDs switch on, then you have to back off a little until they go out to see anything!

I've installed my CoolIt ECO Water CPU Cooler. It took ablout 15 minutes. I settled on the Slipstream in the back and the fan that came with it in the front at straight voltage. The PWM control is too sluggish IMO. The little bit of extra noise is well worth better control, of the temps.
CPUZ
Temps at idle after testing.
100%x4 Cores stressed with Prime95
Here's some benchmarks. CPU Math.
Memory bandwidth.
Here's DVDRB/CCE, 2 pass.
Here's the final on the last Flic!
I'm very Happy with the results! I think the CoolIt ECO is all I expected and more! I had to change the idea of my case airflow to more exhaust. I removed the 80mm side cover Silverstone, and turned the 40 cfm Slipstream around and made it an exhaust. I still need a couple of those Antec 40mm 6.5 cfm fans for the heat sinks, so the motherboard should run a little cooler after I get them.

Looks pretty good russ. Especially considering your high Vcore. My 1.3V northbridge voltage might be comparable to your 1.47 cpu vcore. I don't know. My cpu vcore seems to be content at 1.375. I haven't ran a prime 95. But since Intel burn test passed, I didn't see the need. And I don't really stress this 965 to an extreme yet. Looks like the Coolit cooler deserves some considerable respect. I would probably get at least comparable results in my case (HAF932). I probably would get considerably better flow, if I switch my side 230mm to 4 120s ;) Just can't afford it right now. Thanks for the posts :D

Estuansis,
Easiest AMD Cooler I ever installed. Even easier than installing a Freezer 64 with the motherboard out of the case. The only possible mistake you could make would be to put the AMD Mounts on the Base, upside down, and two screws a side will remedy that! Just remove them and flip them over. Re-install them and mount the pump/base. Could not be easier!
Since I usually drop an OC a little bit anyway, I settled on 3.917GHz. Frankly from the way the temps were acting, I figured 4.0GHz was treading right on the Cooler's limits, even with the Push/Pull fans. Still pretty remarkable given the small size of the Rad! The Rad, is less than 25mm thick, skinnier that the fan that mounts it to the case. I have to hand it to CoolIt, they did their homework! I got it for $54 with a $20 MIR. Between the pump and the two fans, it only draws about 3 watts! Brilliant!

That's actually very impressive for the price. I'm seriously tempted to get one with my next paycheck. Like right now my finger is hovering over the "add to cart" button! LOL Even if it doesn't get used for my main machine as it sits, I would love to have it for my next CPU upgrade. I assume the cooler has a universal mounting system?
Just for my own records, can you post a link of where you got it?

They have to be bought before the 15th, that's when the rebate deal ends.
I noticed that the surface of the base is extremely flat, and it took a couple of hours for the MX-2 to spread out completely. It's 24C in here right now, and it's idling at 30C. Even the motherboard temps dropped to 35C. You have to do a complete re-think on case airflow. With two fans, forget the Rad entirely, and concentrate on moving the air around inside the case. I removed the 80mm Silverstone, and turned the 40 cfm Scythe into an exhaust fan. I want to use it like this for a few days, and then move the Video Card back to the 16x slot and see what happens.
Stay Tuned,
Russ

Well I'm not counting on a rebate to begin with and I probably won't be buying before the 15th so oh well, lol. But it's between that and Corsair for me right now... Not that my Tuniq 120 is lacking in performance, but I wish I had something that was a bit less reactive to ambient temps. Turn the heat on and it idles warm...
@Omega
Haha I'm keeping a counting tally. You're like person number 1 million to say I look similar to someone they know! lol

I know what you mean jeff. We ran the A.C. today, And I saw those wonderful low idle temps again. 35C. Which is pretty good for the high overclock, on Air cooling. even during encoding, it barely broke 40C. Gotta love air conditioning. But now, its idling at 43C again :( I really gotta give this water cooling more thought. The Tuniq is incredible, but if I can keep the temps down at both idle and load, this room won't get quite soo warm ;) Plus it'll no doubt boost longevity. Not that processors have a bad track record. I've heard of Damn few bad processors. I have several that are a decade old, and older. I just like knowing that everything is kosher ;)
