I'm guessing that yes, Nintendo will die first, but only in the home console war. If they do die with the Revolution then they will always have there handheld games to lean back on ( which they are dominating the market with ).
Does anyone know of any other titles that will be in the launch?

If Nintendo dies, it won't be for another at least another couple decades. This business of Nintendo being in financial trouble is completely unfounded and untrue.

I never said it would completely die, let alone anytime soon. I said that it would be the first to drop out of the home console business. As long as they keep their tromendous lead in the handheld business they will be set for a very long time.
And in reply to ualoser, i believe Nintendo actually did try that sort of thing. They tried making the next gameboy a portable gamecube but it turned out to be a finacial hassel.

Ahem. Who's wise Idea was it to claim that Nintendo will die?!
I have never heard such evil blasphemy in all of my days. Its these usupers that come to claim the prize that rightfully belongs to the champions of all gaming. You say they will die in the console wars? What if it is the console war that dies out. The revolution is only the begining of what change Nintendo seeks to bring to the entertainment of all people everywhere! Yes, starting with the controller, the sound, the graphics, the format, the characters, EVERYTHING! All being reformed! Everyone should know the only thing change so far in the console war is graphics. Ooooo I get to look at the same looking thing but in a prettier package. Err. Not impressed. I played Call of Duty 2 on the 360 and the PC, and the PC version looked better. And how in gods name can you people shoot someone on a console game?!?! Handheld controllers were made for platformers and action.
Have any of you considered what really happens in the offices of Nintendo? I have. And all I can really see is Miromoto laughing. Laughing hard at the faulty atempts at de-throneing his mighty empire. He just sits in his chair, enjoying his DS, watching as the beta's of Twilight Princess are playing in front of him. Not the rumored and claimed GC version. The Rev version.
I saw it with Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. A Xbox version, and a 360 version. Why? Cuz not everyone has a 360, so they want the money from those people too. But I think Nintendo's approach to this will be diffrent. Release Zelda in one version, playable on both systems, but with the Rev, it will have enhanced graphics, sound, and new controls, all intergrated into a small gamecube disc. Not that hard seeing as those discs hold alot more than it seems. Who knows, maybe they came up with a new compression ratio for the disc just for Zelda. And maybe a few other kewl games, even some right before the launch of the rev.
All I know is all of you people that are dearly attached to your false golden lamb gods will all parish (emotinally of course) when the great Moses (Miramoto) comes down from the mountain with the Rev.
(*Insert evil genius laugh here*)
I was born with Nintendo, Its what I've stuck with, and I stay happy and entertained.

yes but I'm just wondering what you're basing this hypothesis off of? I realize that bill gates and microsoft have stated that they are determined in the console war (a grim statement concerning their companie's financial worth as opposed to Sony and Nintendo), but if they continue to take massive financial loss on their attempts, eventually concerned investors will have the final say. The same goes with Sony. Nintendo made the most handsome profit in the home-console war.

much has been speculated about the Nintendo Revolution controller, its features and how it'll "Revolutionate" the way of gameplay and today i though of something....what kind of bloody bateries it'll use?!?! if its a pair of AAA or AA and you have to change them every 5 hrs it will suck! Seriously, even a rechargeable batteries with a short-life spam will suck! Hope nintendo start thinking about this, 'cuz i dont like my play time being shortened 'cuz i run out of batteries

I highly doubt that the controller would have a 5 hour lifespan before new batteries were needed.
from the looks of it, it would take batteries or maybe a rechargeable battery-pack.
It is believed that the nun-chuk attachment wasn't wireless because Nintendo wanted to save power, so I know they have at least thought over the issue.

ok i like the controller in all of its...(can't think of the word)...
(for all you hardcore gamers)just imagine your sitting there you and your friends have a serious game going on. but, you realize something you're thirsty...now with the xbox360 and ps3 controllers you would have to put down your controller and give your opponents some time to think of what to do...that's if you can pause the game for them...(little reference...The game: halo, the Time: yesterday, im one point from winning against my brother its a close game...im thirsty, so i pause the game...or so i thought because when i came back from the glass, my brother had tied the game and was about to make the final point.)(a little lengthy i know but hey. i need a good xample) but with the revelution controller you only need one hand and what's more you will get used to the controller you always do with time. (plus it's a design you already know...(think satallite))

well at 1up.com said that it uses regular batteries (the prototype, dont know if this is going to change) and last about the same as the Gamecube Wavebird wireless controller (which BTW i dont know how much it last) and its signal range is about 10 to 15 feet. Also, the motion sensors that go placed near the TV, do they also use batteries or some sort of energy supply? I dont know since the details about the revolution are so scarse...

Well I am just trying to say that Nintendo made a lot more kid games than Sony or Microsoft did. Alot of them were fun in my opion but on other forums a lot of people said they were turned off by all the less violent games. So by looking at more forums and seeing the same comments on the GameCube I came to the conclusion that Nintendo might not sell the Revolution as well as they should. A lot of people don't know that they are going to make a lot more mature rated games in response to all the negative comments about the GameCube and they are going to have a lot more third party support for the Revolution than they did for previous consoles. That's why I said it might die. Personally, the GameCube was better a lot better than Ps2 and Xbox but a lot more people thought it was a turn off from Nintendo so that's why I said that Nintendo might not do that well to start off this time around.

And the Company in general won't die. They are way far from it. I am just saying that since the GameCube didn't sell good and had people get the wrong impression about Nintendo, they might not sell the Revolution quite as good as the competetors and if they don't sell good then there is that chance that they could drop out of making home consoles. They will never completely go out of business. Gameboy will make them far from going even near to out of business.

If Nintendo has a million "gamecube" years with their home consoles, Microsoft has a million "Xbox's" and Sony has a million "PS2's" who do you think would survive?
Probably the companies that make profit. Just a thought.

Well if your going to put it like that then sony won't survive with the ps3 pricing. Blu-Ray players cost 800-1000 dollars to start with and putting them in a console isn't much cheaper. And if they sell the Ps3 for even 600 dollars that means a loss of 200-400 dollars at least. So the way you put it, Sony will go down first.

I did at first, but plain and simple how many times has Nintendo done something innovative and we said "WTF are they doing" then they ended up putting out an awesome thing? Anwser is alot. How many times has Nintendo repeatedly delayed things, but in the end they came out to be classics? Once again, alot (Smash Bros for the SNES came out for N64, Star Fox Adventure for the N64 came out for GC, the long wait for Wind Waker). Bottom line is, I'd love to second guess Nintendo on what they're doing but I'm afraid it'd bite me in the ass in a few months

Well put! They came out with almost everything first. Yea Dance Dance Revolution is kind of fun but they weren't the first to use that kind of sensored pad. Anyone remember that game for the NES where you were a track star and you had that mat to run on? Yeah, I would believe they used that idea from Nintendo to help sell the PlayStation 2. Anyone remember Duck Hunter? that was the first game to actually utilize sensors ( or sort of ) on the screen. They were all fun and so the Revolution will be too.

LOL you're so mature because you play violent video games!
Please. I'm 19 and I love super smash bros. I love halo too, but playing video games sure as hell doesn't make me feel mature, nor does it reflect my level of maturity as a person. That's rediculous.
Sega was also in financial trouble. Nintendo isn't.

Halo was one of the few games that was truly innovative ( if that ) on the Xbox. All the other games were pretty much crap and could be found in different forms on all the other systems. If anything, the Ps2 had the most diverse games on the market but since they suck and only put 2 controllers on the system, they pretty much knocked alot of good games down. Nintendo has and will always maintain a fair ammount of people for their gaming audience.
