My very special thanks to debic for his repeated replies on my query:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone if the eurovox works on Chor*s on MMDS in Drogheda. I have 2007 and each time I try a powerscan no channels are defined. I'm on symbol rate 6.875 but each time I scan no channels are found but the quality rate is around 87%-98%.The box has been tested in Dublin on NTL & 140 channels are located. Am I using the wrong rate. Please help, I'm getting an earful for going ahead & cancelling sky.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I know there are some out there with the same question & the answer seems to be that eurovox max does not work on Chorus through MMDS.

Sorry guys but looking at my current situation & with thanks to Debic for his help Chor*s outside Dublin on MMDS simply does not work. If there is anyone out there who can help find a solution it would be appreciated.

FYI :Chor*s offer a 7 day 'cool off' period to cancel without a charge to new customer for those that have recently tried but failed . Section K, of terms & conditions......

witko
to put the codes in manually you need to go into installation, then press ch edit, the red button for add channels, then you enter freq and symbol rate and press ok. after you have done this for each freq you wantto add you then press red for AUTOSCAN. and the freq's that you've added should be scanned.

Yeah I had to put most of the frequencies in manually, but I think that
is to do with the signal strength in my gaff not being the best. I installed one for a mate up in swords and it picked up all the frequencies straight away.

Sound. Have a mate down in newbridge and with all the problems the Starview is getting I wanted to get him a decent box with less problems. Do you recommend the eurovox ?( what is the going price for these?)

I've had the Eurovox for about 6 months now and I can't fault it. There are a few little bugs in the firmware with the time but nothing major. When the codes changed last week the Eurovox just updated automatically with no problems! I got one for my mate about a month ago off Ebay, it was ?170 shipped from the UK.

Hi All,

Just bought myself a red eurovox box (NTL in Rathmines) and Im having some problems getting it started. Ive tried a few things things on here, but to no avail...

The box isnt picking up any signal although our neighbours box works fine on our connections. All the channels are correct as per previous posts. From what I picked up here, it might be a problem with the codes- does anyone know where I can find the new codes to input on the "Nagra" screen? Also the NTL Operating code please. (I dont have the software/cables necessary to do it automatically)

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
