I am running my xp2000+ usually @ 1904 MHz (14.0 x 136) and it's about 54°C when fully loaded, i managed to OC'd it to 2075 (12.5 x 166), 2093 (13.0 x 161), 2100 (14.0 x 150) and 2145 MHz (15.0 x 143), but it was too damn hot at all these speeds - mostly above 56°C idle, 64°C full loaded, so if I need some more "power" i just switch to 2002 MHz (14.0 x 143 MHz, 1.75V) and it works just fine.
I used to play around with RAM OC, but can't do it anymore since i downloaded this new BIOS update - see, i can actually change my RAM Settings to 166 MHz, 2.5-2-2-6, but all it takes from this is the bus speed and CL, the rest is taken from default setting (3-3-7) the same goes for 200 MHz (only that's CL 3, 2.5 would got my PC hung up)... and when i tried to downgrade to older version of bios, the PC became VERY unstable - it just restarted or hung up without any reason, so i had to leave the upgraded bios and forget about RAM OCing :(

A couple comments:
- RAM is the biggest bottleneck -- not the CPU so i'd reconsider your OC choice
- You might want to up the voltage to the memory so it runs a tad more stable?
- You're running the KT600.... ever since the KT333, Via's kinda lost it's touch when it comes to OCing, it might just be a limitation of the chipset that's capping you

thx for your comments Praetor, i appreciate it a lot:
yesterday i tried to use "turbo" & "ultra" BIOS settings for RAM instead of trying to set it manually and it works with ram set to 166mhz... @ Ultra not only that it sets it to 2-2-6, it changes the CL from 2,5 to 2,0 as well. it works fine with couple of OCing configs... 166x11.5 works fine with that, 166x12 as well (but it's getting hot), but can't go any higher unless i change it back to 2,5 3-3-7 (standard set). And i have to forget about OC @ 200Mhz, it won't even boot up, if i set it to turbo or ultra :( anyway, the overall gain is about 10-15% regarding memory operations, so it's worth trying... I tried to raise voltage but it doesn't work even though i raised it from 2.6 to 2.8 V.

It could just be low-quality memory (no low-quality per se but just not the quality required for that kinda OC)

i got Mushkin PC-3200 for $80, pretty cheap stuff. Not really a good overclocking brand compared to corsair, ocs, kingston and the like. but at 2.7V it runs 2.5-3-3-5 224MHz easy. im sure it could go higher but the processor (2400+) and mobo (EP-8RDA3+) get too hot(stock cooling). i built it about 2 dayz ago and it seems ok. for $80 i'd buy another stick. just an idea if you want some decent ram.

Memory I have installed is Nanya M2U25664DS88B3G-5T
- so it has a brand, but it's more likely non-brand anyway ;)
I want to buy Kingmax 512MB DDR400 (see http://www.kingmax.com/product/pro_ddr400.htm) - it's $110 in local shop whil non-brand is %100. Corsair's too expensive, it's DDR400 CL2 but $170 is too much. I'd like to know, if it's worth the Kingmax's 10% higher cost. I believe it would solve my ram OC problem.
And one more question: If I'd buy Kingmax 256 MB DDR400 and add it together with my non-brand memory, could it help? (i believe not). thx

you're right about ValueSelect Corsair, it's $122 a piece here (512MB DDR400 CL2.5), still Kingmax's cheaper and i haven't found any difference between these to or some test/benchmark that would say which one's better OCd or faster.
by "help" i mean: would the cpu or ram be better (higher) OCd with this brand of memory?

Gotta be the simplest O/C ever,
switching 166/333 FSB to 200/400 ;-)
Instant XP3200+ and PC3200 running @ 400DDR for the first time (I used to run it synchronous @ 333DDR 2-2-2-5).
Heat not too bad; core voltage pushed just past 1.7v makes it happen, no prob.
Timings @ default/compatibility now, CL2.5,
I will be happy with that if stable!
I have installed a 60mm > 80mm adapter (little funnel) to run 80mm fan @ 4400rpm on CPU.
Moves more air than 60mm 7000rpm (much quieter too) and supposedly gets rid of 'hot spot' directly under 60mm fan centre spindle.
I'll let ya know if it melts down ripping DivX
but WTF XP2500+ chips are less than half $ XP3200+
so if it cooks I won't be suicidal...

Finally I make a huge improvement... as I said before, I couldn't make my CPU Athlon2000+ run any higher then @ 171 MHz... well, I tried to bypass range between 172-189 MHz and started up there @ 190 MHz and voila - it works. Now, I'm running 214 MHz x 10.0 = 2140 MHz with RAM @ default setting CL3 3-3-7 @ 430 MHz. It's 100% stable, i've tested with all the benchmarks and games I have here (Sandra 2004, HotCPU Tester, Prime95, PCMark, 3DMark.. games: Sacred, NFSU). Of course, I had to raise the voltage of the CPU from 1.65 to 1.90 V and RAM (just for cause) from 2.65 to 2.75V, but it's working smooth and well. Temperature is lower then when OCd it as 166*13 (2120 MHz as well), but it's still a bit hot (some 62-63°C) - but keep in mind i've got only the standard BOX HSF and no extra fans in the case, so it's pretty cool as far as this is concerned ;))
Keep up the good work all of ya OCers, I promise I will. :)

btw, is there any way I could post an image from CPU-Z for example? (as a proof)

About Ati Radeon X800Pro Overclocking......

Ok overclocking my gpu is simple cause I can monitor its temp at all times and figure out what the best clock speed would be either when using a Vga Silencer or watercooling, but when it comes to the memory I'm clueless.
Ok so I bought some copper ramsinks the other day and was wondering what a good overclock would be with these installed on the memory. Anyone know???

If you've got a website you can link the picture there. In most cases, proof isnt neccesary unless you're trying to pull something like "25Ghz OC"

I just upgraded my system (stats in my signature, similar to Praetor's). In purchasing an XP3000+ and PC3200 memory, have I maxed out my OC potential? Because I can't seem to get any performance improvement thru OC'ing (as measured by 3DMark2001).

I leave my memory freq at 100% (otherwise it won't reboot), and fiddle with the CPU multiplier, but nothing seems to change (currently at 12.5). Am I doing something wrong? I noticed I can't modify the "CPU interface" in the BIOS - it just says "optimal". Could that be part of it?
